Gaming and All Its Glory

I’m seriously considering getting Destiny 2 on PS4 since they have an exclusive deal with Bungie. I dropped a ton of money on Destiny still didn’t get everything the Sony crowd got.

If they could just combine the Xbox controller and UI with the Sony hardware and games right now…

Lol, ya. I will say, though, that the PS4 control is a thousand time better than the PS3 controller. There’s not a whole lot of difference between the PS4 and the One controller, imo.

I’m not a fan of the Xbox interface either, but that’s just personal preference I think.

I’ll bring up the Witcher games again. In these you can, and sometimes need to, do some pretty gritty choices. ¨

My personal opinion is that they are the one of the top notch role playing/open world games out there.(ok the 3rd is only really open world) I’m a bit baffled that no one here has mentioned these ones.

Yes. The Witcher 3 was the last game to suck me in. One of the best ever made for sure.

I never played Witcher until the third one. I totally loved it but was a bit disconnected with the story other than the objectives. It got better the more I played it. At one point though, I killed some tree roots or something and basically changed the story that made it suck and was done. It’s definitely awesome though. Great control mechanics and I love open worlds on horse.

I never got into the Witcher series mainly due to the control mechanics. I’m more of a casual gamer and they’re just too complicated.

That is the thing I like, the story evolves and does not always go to the direction where you think you are going with it. There are sometimes displeasing outcomes, but that is the salt. Real life does not always end up like you meant either.

The mechanics are cool. There is some learning curve, but I am definitely a casual gamer too and have finished w3 with the hardest difficulty (not the w2 thought, it is much more difficult than the 3rd one).

playing Hello Neighbor and just can’t freaking win.

You know I have a good library of games and console in my room. I just buy and collect I want to play them all but I don’t have time to do that as a working dad my time is very little when it comes to gaming. But for now what I am playing are World of Final Fantasy and waiting for the release of Eng. ver of YS VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana.

X Com 2 with the Long War 2 Mod.

If your are not heavily into strategy and tactics. do not bother.

New street fighter on switch lets you motion control Hadokens in a game mode called “Path of the Hado.”

On it’s scoring system, I always get a S Rank in the Intensity category. I don’t know what that means but I love it.

Playing a lot of Civilization Revolution on the Xbox.

Is anyone getting Morrowind tomorrow?

Was tempted with the trailer. But trying to work video games out of my life.

RPG’s pull you in…

MMO RPG’s steal your life. You turn it on, and then your realize you haven’t blinked for an hour or drank water since Thursday. Lmao.

Lol. ya… When ESO first came out my son hadn’t been born yet so I put quite a few hours into it. It’s tough to find the time now.

Yeah I played WOW in college during downtime. Graduated and put that behind me with mortgage, business, job and kids. I got an email last year that I was getting two months free. So i figured “why not?”

So I thoight I’ll game responsibly and get all my work done first. Got all my chores done and decided to sit up in bed and play for just an hour… 5am alarm rings WTF.

Lol, thankfully I’ve never been that bad… Maybe 2-3AM on Friday/Saturday with friends. I actually know a person that’s gotten divorced over Everquest, though, so I get it…

I’ve always liked RPG games clear back to DOS based games in the early 90’s. When they started putting random number generators (dice roles) into the calculations for damage and loot drops the game manufacturers basically mimicked gambling reinforcement schedules. That was pure genius.

“In a variable-ratio schedule, the number of responses needed for a reward varies. This is the most powerful type of intermittent reinforcement schedule. In humans, this type of schedule is used by casinos to attract gamblers: a slot machine pays out an average win ratio—say five to one—but does not guarantee that every fifth bet (behavior) will be rewarded (reinforcement) with a win.”
