Most Anticipated Game Titles of 2013

Alright so there has been alot of hype going on with the announcemnt of the new next gen consoles and what not. So that brings me to ask everyone, what is the game titls you are most anxious to see this year (either for the new consoles or the current ones).

I gotta say that “Last of Us” and “Arkham Origins” are probably my top 2. And for anyone who hasn’t played the last of us demo, it’s very similar to the uncharted/tomb raider style gaming.
And if you have never heard of Batman Arkham Origins (or any of the previous 2 Batman Arkham games) well then you should go find another forum because you apparently live in a hole.

Fallout 4 for me:D

That’s not this year!

Because I’m a die-hard fan, I am really ecstatic over the new addition to the Metal Gear Solid series from Kojima.

While there’s been no release date given, the decision to release it on current gen consoles more or less affirms that it will appear this year. And for those still wondering, they’ve decided to include Ground Zeroes as an integrated prologue to Phantom Pain and not a standalone title.

I also really enjoy the look of The Division, a Tom Clancy MMO seems like a brilliant idea, and one I’m sure I’ll make use of down the road.

I’m very excited for Watch Dogs as well, something I’ve been looking closely into since it’s development reveal much earlier in the year. The gameplay looks very pleasing and I thoroughly enjoy the idea of stealth in a modern or semi-futuristic technological environment, might play as a great allegory as to the control of technology on us now as a species, which I will enjoy greatly. The takedowns look satisfyingly brutal and I really enjoy the variety in what the player can do.

Due to the overwhelming amount of games being announced, I hesitate to list all of them as it’s possible I won’t buy most of the ones I do like the look of right off the bat, but those are my three absolute favourites so far.

Edit: Seems like The Division is planned for 2014, I’ve yet to really clue in on all the release dates.

IT SHOULD BE!!

I’m looking forward to Killzone the most I think. Last of us is Friday this week I think, will be up all night for sure.

I am really excited for the Final Fantasy x remake…

But for nextgen the new Killzone looks sweet. I always liked that series. It never was the " halo killer" it was hyped up to be but the combat always felt very visceral

They’ll probably botch “Thief”.
MGS could be great in a free roaming environment, but will it be out this year? Same with “Witcher 3”.
So, “The Last Guardian” maybe ?

Ceterum censeo most nextgen titels continue to be overproduced garbage.

Honestly nothing really jumped out at me that’s coming later this year :-/

In the coming years though I’m definitely looking forward to Fallout 4, Thief (I don’t think they’ll fuck it up), Dark Souls II, Next Gen Super Smash Bros, and HALFLIFE 3 FOR FUCKS SAKE.

Battlefield 4 looks badass, and with 64 players it may actually be worth getting on a console.

Ya, I haven’t tried the demo, but I’m picking the last of us up at noon on Friday.

Killzone is one of my favorite game series. The multiplayer has left something to be desired at times, but it’s fun. The storylines and gameplay in single player are always awesome though.

Battlefield 4, Forza 5, and GTA 5 are on the top of my list…

I’ve pretty much fallen out of gaming due to lack of time but I played both Arkhams as much as I possibly could so I would be down to play that. ‘Last of Us’ is PS only, correct? I’ve seen some press on that for some reason (haven’t been looking) and it looks entertaining.

I can’t remember the last MGS I played as it has been many years but I always loved that series- it transitioned me over to Splinter Cell as it appealed to me about the same but I made the Xbox transition rather than the PlayStation.

I have no desire to purchase a next gen system so I’ll have to hope they come out with good stuff for the 360 still

Arkan origins will most likely be very good. Personally I like Asylum better than city, but they were both very good. I think I played Asylum through 3 or 4 times.

I’m picking up the Last of Us (PS only) tomorrow. It looks really good. The Geek thread convinced me to get it.

I think Microsft announced like 100 new 360 games at E3 so you should be good for a while.

I’ve been skimming pre-release footage of The Last Of Us, it does look just as good as people are saying. Do want.

Yea, now I just have to figure out what games I’m willing to devote my time and $150 or whatever the hell games are now. The only game I’ve bought in the last probably 5+ years (Arkham city I borrowed) was the newest Madden so I could play as RG3. Hahha

I used to use Game Informer magazine as my game guide. If it had good scores, I went with it. I’m down for nostalgic games like Star Wars, Batman, Ninja Turtles, etc. I think just from games that I wanted to try in the past I still want to play the Assassin’s Creed series but other than that I don know. I didn’t like Mass Effect although I liked Knights of the Old Republic which was similar (and Jade Empire). And I think the second to last Fallout. So I wouldn’t even know where to begin…

Game reviews are tough especially when they have large fan bases or a rival game has a large fan base. I remember when battlefield 3 and MW3 were coming out together and the reviews were just so up and down. It would be like “Battlefield 3 gets a 2 because COD is SO MUCH BETTER,” I’m like can you just rate the game please.

That’s why I use gamefly. It’s like $15 a month and when I have the time I can go through 2-4 games a month. I might play a game for an hour then mail it back if it sucks. I started it after buying Duke Nukem, ehhhhhh.
