Future strength program

I’m interested in following a strength based program after my current program. This is the outline I intend to follow:

DAILY
MID SECTION & AEROBIC WORK
10 minutes of intense cardio
Crunches, Leg Raises, Rope Tuck, Hyperextensions
Always do warm-up sets first x15 reps
MONDAY
Squats (5x6)
Chins (4xMax)
Bentover Rows (4x8)

WEDNESDAY
Bench Press (5x5)
Cleans & Presses (4x6)
Extended torso work: weighted hyperextensions, Roman Chair abdominals, hanging leg raises, rope tucks
FRIDAY
Deadlifts (5x5)
Barbell Curls (4x6)
Dips (4xMax)
Grip & Forearm Work Bar Hangs (3xMax)
Wrist Curls (3x15-20)
supersetted with
Reverse Wrist Curls (3xMax)

I’d like to know if I should make any changes to this. Thank you.

why use the max on the chins and dips i think you would be better using extra wieght and stivinig for 44 or 55. Just a note that might be of interest to you i have been using pavels ieas lately and i have made some astonishing progress. check out his ideas on dragondoor.

happy training and productive workouts to yah!

Thanks for the response! Actually, I’ve been trying to get more of Paval’s ideas, but it’s hard without buying his books (which I’m sure are worth the money). His site, at least from the search I’ve done, doesn’t give too much in the way of indepth info. But I will change the chin up outline. Again, thanks for your response.

Give me some general questions and i’ll be happy to help the best that i can
i have not got any of his books either but i know alot about his strength routine info through reading every back post on his forum at dragon door and through reading this forum and asking lots of ?'s and better yet experimenting in the gym and bye god i’m soooo much stronger.Fire away comrade

bomber, you got that routine from the dave draper site correct?

fine program, as said I would lower reps in the dips and chins (but I do not know how many of each you can do) your volume is resonably low and you are leaveing a day between wt. workouts which are 2 great things, I don’t believe that the abs are any different than any other muscle as far as rest needed but that would be my only critique(sp?) I just think if you do your workouts w/no belt you need very little if any direct ab work. I would be a little leary of doing deads w/ only one day off after wtd. hypers. in general very good, you should make pretty good progress. peace. oops one more thing, you might want to include some rotatorcuff exercises on the day you do dips. peace again
