Bryan, if you’re only here for Jim’s advice, you can get that on his own personal forum at his website. Or you could email him. When you post here there will be a lot of people who want to help you and offer advice. Many of them are much more experienced than you are, aren’t know it alls. Many of them have had the same question you have, and have probably had them answered, they can offer some suggestions as well.
If you didn’t want to hear from anyone else you should have put that in the first post.
Thanks for that paragraph of worthless information. I understand that people, other than Wendler, may have good advice. But when people are posting stupid shit like I haven’t looked at the book I’m going to try to stop that. And as for you, you haven’t offered any advice. You aren’t even doing 5/3/1 so why are you on here still posting?? Why don’t you go look for a job or see if your mom has dinner ready yet or put some effort into losing your virginity, losing your V card may bring up your pathetic lifts a little bit.
Im not sure if youre trolling the forum, but man calm down. The man himself gave you an answer. If you havent noticed from this forum Wendler gives no frills advice. He expects you to have some common sense. Im not saying you do not, but just understand everyone here is only trying to help. Theres a few questions you have, heres a few answers I have
Should you use jokers?
A: This is dependtand on you, thats why Jim cant really give you an answer. If you feel good work up in jokers, if you feel bad? dont its that simple. Jokers for myself are never planned. I should say I plan what I COULD do for jokers, as in I plan what the weights will be so I know them. But If I dont feel good I dont do them, thats where no one will be able to tell you what to due, they are intuitive in any template.
Also wondering how the different sets of 65/75/85x5, 70/80/90x3, 75x3/85x3/95x1, and 80/90/100x1 should be used??
A: They are used as written, go for PRs on your last set if you feel up to it, if not do the the reps. To be honest this question sounds vague and im not sure what you’re asking with it
Wanted your advice as far as how much to used the prowler with the full body template. I still want to be strong however it will have to take a backseat to conditiong for now
A: You can be strong and well conditioned, ive seen hundreds of football players do this. Ive personally worked out 3 times a week in season with 5 2 hour practices and maintained my strength. Ive GAINED strength doing sprints 3 times a week and weight training 4 times. I do not think anyone can tell you how much to use the prowler becuase you havent listed a basic level of condition. IF i were you>? try twice a week, if you keep your strength and conditioning improves keep going, if not try 1 more session.
Hope this helps, but man get a better attitude about this. Ive been on forums since I was 15 and now im 27, I use to get super worked up. Get the peice of info you’re looking for if you can and after that relax
