Full Body 3x Week

A1) Full Back Squat
A2) Clean and Press

B1) Bent over Row
B2) Bridge Press / Floor Press

C1) Deadlift
C2) Barbell Rollout / Landmines

Sets: 2-3
Reps: 5-8
Rest: 90 seconds between sets

Set / Rep Scheme from TBT!

Thoughts?

NO way I could do squat, cleans, rows, and deads in the same workout…and you are doing it 3x per week.

your lower back is going to hate you

My thoughts are that some of you got screwed the fuck up with whatever the TBT crowd was selling if any of you think this sounds like a great set up.

Anyone getting into the gym regularly doing just about ANYTHING can make newbie gains so even using the possibility that someone gained muscle like this does not mean it makes the most logical sense long term.

It looks like some of you need to decide whether the goal is to actually significantly change the way you look…or to continue trying to be some all around pseudo-athlete who isn’t quite that good at any of the 50 different activities and styles of training he is pulling his body between.

I guess it depends on your goals… But that still doesn’t look like a very good program. Doing all those compound exercises in one workout, 3x per week is not going to be very fun.

Actually, what are you trying to achieve with this program?

Dude… what? The fuck?

If you’re serious, maybe its time to check out the beginner’s forum.
Anyone that has lifted seriously for more than a month knows that this routine is virtually impossible to complete with any significant intensity.
First, you have 6 compound exercises that could very well be main lifts in any typical split. Second, goodluck squatting and c&j back to back. Third, squats and deadlifts in the same day… try it and see how it goes.

I am ashamed to say that I have done a routine that was somewhat similar in my first three months as a lifter, and its a waste of time. The only thing it has going for it is giving the trainer more opportunity to develop his form, but that only happens when most of the exercises are lowered in intensity.

Something probably not achievable by this program.

No. They are slow on doling out the MOD powers.

Don’t get me wrong i totally agree with you, but how do you bring yourself to respond to these threads all the time?

Do you have a TBT sux speech saved so you can paste it in?

He doesn’t need to. He transmits his thoughts to the computer and it does his bidding. Who needs keyboards when you have telepathy.

do the A on day 1, B on day 2, C on day 3. Add some accessory movements

You’ll have to add a mask to your avatar when you finally get your powers…

Luke Cage: no mask.
So… tiara?

Damm, it was meant to be 2x a week not 3. However, even at the that I don’t know what I was thinking with the demands of the workout, it’s extremely demanding and would only run anyone into the ground.

I’m looking for a full body work out 2x or 3x a week? any suggestions?

Doing the A on day 1, B on day 2, C on day 3, plus adding some accessory movements is a good shout indeed.

Why not do a Upper/Lower/Upper then Lower/Upper/Lower?

To the OP:

Clean/presses after back squats == bad idea (unless you are doing either one with weights so light it counts as a warm up.)

There is no way you can do those two exercises back to back, at 5-8 rep (meaning, a true 8RM-5RM) range with only 90 seconds of break in between without incurring in an injury at some point.

If you can, you are either a phenom or the load you are using for either exercise (or both) is not heavy enough to count as a true 5-8 rep range.
