In “Foods that make you look good nekid” Cy Willson has a lot of bad to say about “processed” fruit juice. He says that processed fruit juice and fruit juice concentrates are basically stripped of all the good things of fruit and only left with lots of empty calories that lead to weight gain.
What I’m wondering is whether or not there’s any chance something like Juicy Juice which is still processed but at least called 100% juice might be ok for a skinny guy like me who has a lot of trouble getting enough food to gain any weight. You see I’m a super poor grad student and I basically feel like it’s almost impossible for me to gain weight because I literally dont have the time and money to eat enough. Is Juicy Juice truly worthless too? Please tell me it’s actually a reasonable source of carbs if money is a major issue.
