@shaneinga @OleMan_Fe @TM79 Thank you gentlemen. I imagine I might get that stretched out. It is a whole different type of resistance. Is it equivalent to 200 lbs.? No, but it is its own special type of soreness. In college a fellow down the hall saw me stretch out the ā€œ100sā€. He was a if you can do that I can do that guy. So he said he would be by Friday night. My roommate had and ingenious idea, just in case. We put the ā€œ100sā€ in the fridge. I guess that makes us bad.

Edit: Holy :poop: two hours later and I am still feeling this one. Lighter resistance, some myo-reps and I could use a nap. Unfortunately I am working on a program at work. Putting all of my history standards in a spreadsheet so my co-teachers and I can easily share our requirements. Some one at the Federal Dept. of Ed. did not have enough time on his/her hands. Wieners…

Edit-Edit: I caught that nap after school. I had not idea I went out. Right in the middle of that report.

Kind of OK. Skidded out at dead lifts.

I think Wednesday wore me out leading into this morning. I might have benefited with an extra day and stayed with the Saturday session. I am not sleeping well past 2:30 AM or so. Even if I go to bed later. Last night I fell asleep about 9:00 AM, and woke at 3:00 AM. So six hours of sleep is a homerun.

I am waiting to see how I did this week calorie wise. Monday morning’s weigh-in will be a tell.

This will be a true cut-back week. Less weight, sets without failure. I started this morning. Thai is all good! My sleep is off. I let go of the Lunesta a week or two back. I am sleeping, but odd hours. Last night was about 8:00 PM to 1:00 AM. Throw in an epic case of yellow curry reflux, aspiration included, and what a night.

Less resistance, better form, and to be honest, I am a bit worn out. I think better to reduce resistance than take a complete break.

Food: I weighed 209 lbs. This morning on our home scale. That appears to be less than last week by three pounds. More water less Coke. Fewer snacks (Dog gone students store…).

Bigger breakfast, for me, means less food later in the day. No pancakes, etc. But 3-4 eggs, a sausage patty, a hash brown square. Time to cut back on the coffee also. I have had a sense of anxiety. My guess is too much caffeine.

I guess I will see how the ā€œdeloadā€ week works.. I am a bit wary of taking the week off and not restarting.

On to Wednesday!

Sorry to hear about the bad sleep and reflux.

Good job on the weight loss though.

Deloads are good to add in every now and then to give the body a break.

Good looking deload session. Sounds like that is much needed with everything you described. I like to take about two full rest weeks per year. Those usually correspond with summer vacation and Christmas vacation. It’s nice to give your body a rest, but sometimes it’s fine to just dial it back. :+1:

Starting at 20 minutes seemed fine. Nightwish helped it move on a bit faster.

Do you have the smooth leather/fake leather seat on you Airdyne?

It is a fake leather seat. It has small cushions where each buttock rests. It is saddle shaped. I have tried 2-3 different seats over the years.

I saw a picture of me in the school yearbook. A thousand words they I say. I say at least forty pounds over.

Soloflex I

Pre-Workout: Doughnut Shop

Weight: 205 lbs.

I added sets and reps on some upper body exercises. I was quite stiff and sore from yardio yesterday. I got the mower running. A tree comes out today. Five hundred smackers.

My low back hurts. I am not sure if it is back, or kidney.

I just finished another log book this morning. I am ready to start book III on Wednesday. I think keeping a log is important. I have not always done that regularly. I am now.

Been using a workout logbook for more years than I can remember. Love that old school method of tracking progress!

I am not an app person. I used to be able to remember resistance, sets, reps in my head. Not so much anymore. If I tried an app I would forget to look at it. A log book is right there on my table.
