i’ll say that’s a good day! you just exceeded your haywired weight setup - does that mean you get to buy a different setup?
I bet you were never picked last for the tug-o-war team.

I don’t think so. To many other things in the queue…Christmas, New AC/furnace for upstairs and down, new gutters, etc…
I think what it really means is that I can row the most weight I can get on the machine. Now I need to work towards 10 strict reps with it.
I am really surprised that the pulleys held the load. I would be afraid to push it any higher anyway. I already busted one pulley.
Your bad day on bench likes like a good day for me on squats.
Jack, you’re right…but I think I was always big enough that I was the obvious choice for anchor.
Tony, I know better than that. And it wasn’t a bad day at all. In fact, it was a good day. I am just not quite where I was at the end of July.
Your bad day on bench really does look like a good day on squats for me.
With all you have going on, you’re still putting in some big damn training numbers. Helluva bad day at the bench… I need a few of your bad days!
Good day, bad day…
You know what I would consider a GREAT day? Within the realm of immediate possibility, that is…
being able to 1 board 385# and 2 board 405#. That would make me happier than a pig in shit!
It would mean that 405# was within range, after my next valley in the strength curve.

I don’t think this day is that far off. You are really strong, and those huge rows show that you have a great base. I think you will see a 405 bench sooner than you might think.
I hope you are right, Jack. That will be a VERY good day.
Military later today. Hopefully this is going the same direction as my bench.
Your seated row numbers are incredible. I cannot imagine rowing that much weight.

I need to get a video up at some point.
I don’t row them up high (to my chest). I row them into my gut…which makes a shorter ROM, given my girth
20 more pounds and I might not have any ROM.
Really damned good day of Military Press. ‘Bout flippin’ time.
Military Press
barx20

Dropped it here because I had to go to my daughter’s cheerleading practice.
Really pleased with the workout. Sunday’s bench workout felt like my strength was returning. Today’s felt like it was ALMOST completely back. 1st time in over 2 months that I have actually felt on my game. Hopefully this wave is just starting its upswing.
^^^^Outstanding work my friend.
woohoo! nice set of PRs!
strick has his mojo back!
Thanks Rug, Soldog.
Don’t tell OG about the mojo thing. He thinks I stole his and I don’t want him taking this away…whether it’s his or mine.
Wow. Great work.
HOLEE CRAP!! Damn good PRs Skip. Your mojo is back with a vengeance!
Great job. It’s always a wonderful feeling to be on the start of an uptick.
Thanks Jack, Wilson, Snap. And it does feel great to feel like things are swinging upwards.
I would have said that I felt like my strength was completely back, but the bar still felt heavy when I unracked it. When I hit the 270#, the bar didn’t really feel “heavy” until I had put 255# on it. I guess the good news is, if I’m still not completely back, but setting PRs, this could be a good uptick.
Happy Halloween everyone! It is going to be a busy day…daughter’s ballgame, then downtown trick or treating, then neighborhood trick or treating and then, possibly, sleepover for my daughter and youngest. If you don’t hear from me again, I didn’t survive it…5 sugared up kids in the house…
