I’m 17 years old, weighing ~200lb/ 90kg and I’m from Germany. I never had any coaching on my squat etc… My squat technique is basically teached or learned by the ebook “Deadlift Dynamite” by Andy Bolton and Pavel ( ofc also SS). Hope I gave enough information.
Feel free to ask me! Sorry about dropbox, easiest way for me to upload. It’s the 6. wekk of SL 5x5 and I already swtiched to 3x5. Furthermore, it is my 2nd attempt on 92,5kg, I will try it once more on Wednesday.
Already got feedback about my weight shfiting “way” too much back. Appreciate more feedback.
Hey. It’s not a great video, but from what I can see it looks like you are rushing into the bottom of the squat and not staying tight. You go fast down then you are really slow out of the hole, with a lot of wobbling in the knees and wiggling around to try and find the groove/tightness you lost.
I would try and focus on controlling your descent more, pulling yourself into the bottom and keeping tension, then exploding out of the hole. working on paused squats where you pull into the bottom, maintain tension for a second and then explode up might help. Otherwise, I think you just need to keep working on finding your groove where you can pull smoothly into the bottom position, catch a stretch reflex and stand up strong, rather than losing tightness and being really soft out of the hole.
I agree with N.K., you do a good job of staying upright and keeping your bar path vertical, but only until fatigue sets in. I think working a lot on tightness (e.g., via paused squats or simply more controlled reps) would benefit you a lot. Viel Erfolg beim Trainieren!
