Hey, as you might see, I’m new and this is my first post. I have recently started lifting (past few months) and have been reading up on nutrition and came across the massive eating plan.
I figured I would give it a try even though the amount of food it recommends is quite daunting. Anyways, I have updated my current diet to reflect the ideas from massive (caloric intake and P+F and P+C meal planning) and have compiled a spreadsheet outlining what I will eat on most days.
First Key Info:
Age -17
Height -5’7 inches
Weight -134 lbs
Body Fat% -about 9
Training: 5 Times a week for around an hour 15 min each muscle group is worked once a week (I can elaborate on this if needed but I am trying to focus on nutrition)
ok so…
I am looking for constructive criticism of this plan. A few shortcomings I have noticed:
Meal C should probably be a P+F Meal since it isn’t near my training time, which beings at around 3:30 pm on the schedule.
Meal C seems sort of large, I’m not sure if I properly calculated the veggies, I kinda just said 100kCal veggies and made up protein and carb values that matched. Perhaps meal G should be larger since I am always hungry by meal C.
My post workout meal has P+F+C all in one. This is partially a remnant from my old plan, however I am having difficulty finding a place to put that fat intake.
Question: Would it be a bad idea to replace the egg whites with real eggs and have protein carbs and fat in my breakfast?
Any advice on this plan is greatly appreciated. I’m new to this whole thing and am just trying to eat a balanced, healthy diet so that I can maximize the work I do in the gym.

if you like your eggwhites, like me, have 1/2 a cup(~12g protein) and add in 4 or 5 hardboiled eggs(5eggs = ~30g protein, ~25g fat)
are you lactose intolerant? milk is good and can easily add calories to any meal that looks a little small.
you are consuming 4 protein shakes a day, which is a little overboard in my opinion, but it isn’t that big of a deal. i am assuming you are in high school and it is hard to eat between classes and all.
solid meal plan. you cold probably be less strict considering you are 134lbs(no offense), but if a healthy diet is that important then more power to you buddy. good luck
Thanks for the suggestions. I guess I got it in my mind that I should avoid milk since it has a lot of sugar compared to protein and fats… though for a bulking diet that wouldn’t necessarily be bad. I’m guessing from your first response that eating carbs and fat in one meal isn’t really that big of an issue.
As far as the protein shakes go, yea I agree that less would be better but as you figured out, it really is a bitch to try to eat between classes. I hardly have time to drink the shakes let alone eat a real meal (especially since I’m not even supposed to have food in school…). Anyways, thanks for the feedback I will look into adding those eggs in.

oh, please let me clarify. Personally i never eat carbs and fat in the same meal…other then breakfast or when consuming large quantities of milk. and i just thought milk is a solid choice to get some calories in at school. regarding fats, i don’t take a flaxseed supplement but i have heard that many flaxseed supplements lose their ability to digest in the body after ~2weeks after processing. I am not sure where i heard that but it is something to spend 5minutes on to check out.
Ah alright. I was referring to breakfast but yea I see what you are saying. I’ll look into the flaxseed oil thing… I haven’t been able to locate the information you refer to yet but I keep an open mind and will check that out. What are some good alternative fat sources in addition to eggs and nuts?
When I actually looked into what I normally consumed before setting up a real diet plan I found that unless I was blatantly and purposefully eating fat, I really didn’t consume much at all. Anyways, thanks for the clarification.
