Hi.
I would like you to explain to me the proper form on floor press. Should i squeeze shoulder blades together like in bench press? I have very vulnerable shoulders. I get pain from bench pressing fairly easy so i really would like to get some tips.
You should keep the back tight and chest high even during the floor press. However if you have recurring shoulder issues the floor press might not be the best exercise because it traps the shoulder blades (every form of bench pressing does this). DB bench press are slightly better and so are dips and band-loaded push ups.
Ok thank you. one more question again about floor press. If i squeeze shoulder blades together should i shrug traps or not? oh and one more. powerlifters often say that its good to try to bend the bar. Can i apply that while doing false grip ? it feel ankward and i dont know if its good with false grip or its just for the normal grip.
