After warmup this took not quite 40 minutes. In a good training groove right now and am gonna ride it til the weeks fall off. Took a completely unflexed pic. Did it unflexed 'cause I want to be honest with myself, and compare it to the pics in a month, then 2, etc…

thats gonna be sick! Do your boys have the hook ups? Bar peeps usually take care of eachother so i bet you’ll have a blast. If you’re in shape and hanging out by the pool its like shooting fish in a barrel man. lol

Yeah, one of my buddies actually almost moved out there to work for some bar. We’re gonna be taken care of, which is pretty badass.

Haha, I know man. It was my attempt at poking fun of the people around here who take a pic but say “I had two daquiris and some midol yesterday so Iook more bloated than norma…” After I wrote it a wondered if anyone would get it. But, I will take some flexed pics soon.

Couldn’t play ball last night 'cause a local 8th grade team was practicing.
Realized yesterday that I’m comfortable enough with my knees that I can ditch the box and go back to traditional squats. But, I switched to a high bar position and went ass to grass, and I’m too embarrassed to post my numbers, haha. Let’s just say that right now my bench is higher than my atg oly style squat.

Really had to focus on my form, foot position and bar position with the squats to make my knees happy. Never done a high bar squat before, and while awkward, I dug it. My new short term (a year or so) goals are still a 3 plate bench, a 275+ hang clean, 365+ atg oly style back squat and a chinup with an extra 135lbs. I feel those are realistic, attainable goals provided I bust my ass. Time to get to work.

Pretty good workout. Improved on ME for the 3rd week in a row. Gonna do 1 more week then figure something else out. The rows with conscious scap retraction were intense. Never felt my lays like that on rows before. Have a date tonight with the pre-law student with fakies bigger than your head, so I’ll holler.
My legs are still pretty sore from Friday, but tonight after work gonna play a little ball and do some jumps and sprints. My knee is also pretty tender, so I need to slowly get my body used to the deep squats. Didn’t do the plp yesterday so I’ll pick up where I left off. Aiming to get some dunk vids tonight, so hopefully someone’s in there.
looks like you’re diggin the band work? I’ve noticed from different logs that it doesnt take a whole lot of weight to wear you out when you’ve got those things on there huh?

Dude, I was good for 7 at 135 with the bands and a 2 second pause. I’m good for 10-ish at 185. Not entirely sure, but I’m guessing I’m getting about 40-50 lbs per band at the top. It’s pretty intense, and I’m completely fried by the end of 'em. But, if I do a few sets of those and switch to straight weight it feels like I’m working with an empty bar. After your comp you should look into 'em.
Played ball for about an hour and a half, but no sprints or jumps 'cause my left knee was fucking killing me. Probably should’ve just gone home, but apparently I’m an idiot. Thinking about switching the lunges in the plp to bw squats. My knees just don’t like 'em, and you can actually hear my right (surgically repaired) knee grind. I’ll take a vid and see if the sound comes up. It’s pretty gnarley.
My left knee is killing me today and is actually slightly swollen. As much as I want to get back to traditional back squats, I might be stuck on the box for awhile. In the grand scheme of things, shit could be worse. Was supposed to go run whole court pickup tomorrow, but if my knee’s still janky I’ma chill. Gonna do the plp with bw squats later (if my knee cooperates), and I’m grabbing drinks with this broad I met a couple weeks ago after work, so I’ll holler.
