Shot around for about 20 minutes, did some foam rolling and mobility, then

Bi’s-3x12 + cable tri’s-4x25 (pump blood into gnarley elbows)
Scap circuit- 2 rounds
Pretty good workout. Here’s todays food
8:30-ish- 3 jumbo eggs, ck breast, 3 pieces bacon, potato and bell peppered
11-ish- small packet trail mix
1:30-ish- 8+ oz salmon, big plate brown rice, veggies
4pm-workout
5:30 1scoop gatorade powder, 1 scoop protein
Right now-12 oz ck breast, big plate brown rice
Will have a shake or something before bed as I spaced my meals out a little further than I meant to. Aiming for 4 meals and a snack or 2 a day. Ball and legs manana.
Got to the gym way later then planned. Not sure what was going on, but the court was at least 100 degrees with 100% humidity. It was so hot and humid that the floor was sweating and old paint chips were flaming from the ceiling onto the court. I’m not making that up, that was actually happening. Wanted to get some dunks down but thought better of it, so played 1 game then did

Squat-225x3x5 (haven’t done these in 2 or so weeks. Wanted to go fairly light, which was the right move as these felt better than any squat I’ve done since coming back to traditional squats. Stayed tight, hit at least below parallel and the weight was moving fast. Awesome.)

Pretty good workout. Was doing the 5 meals a day thing for a bit, and while it was working it was becoming a hassle, so I switched to getting around the same # of cals, but spread out over 3-4 meals and some snacks. So far, it’s working great. Feel more energetic and less tied down to the fork. Also allows me to get more done as I don’t have to worry about the clock. Weighed in at 175 w/ shoes on tonight which is a good sign. First thing in the morning buck naked 175 is the goal for now. I’ll reevaluate from there. Time to grub and catch some z’s, us’ll be good.

I haven’t had knee pain since I worked my form with VTBalla… and I thought I was fine before.

I’ve posted box squat vids. It’s not the squats that hurt my knees, it’s the ruptured patella that I didn’t get fixed and the resulting scar tissue that hurts my knees. Waking up hurts my knees, so the squats are just another thing. I will try to get a squat vid as soon as I’m back to 275x5, so hopefully within the next few months.

Word. I just know that the way I squat now puts a lot more weight in my hips and less in my knees. Worth mentioning.

Thanks man. Been really focusing on sitting back, forcing my knees out and trying to stay upright, or as upright as I can anyway. I’ll get a vid up soon so ya’ll can tear it apart, haha.
Had the day off and slept til almost 10. I average about 5-5 1/2 hours of sleep a night, so getting about 9 felt great. Completely threw off eating though. Anyway, got to the gym about 3 and shot around for 20 minutes, then foam rolled and mobs, then-

Good workout. Forgot to do scap work, so gonna stretch and do it tonight before bed. Gonna do some explosive work for legs manana and move squats to Friday. I live a few streets down from Rice university and they have an open (I think) track, so debating on going there and doing some sprints and jumps or going to the court and doing stuff there. I’ll figure it out by the time I get off work manana. Ya’ll be good.

My knee has been feeling pretty good lately but for some reason the last few days it’s been all janked up. Played ball for about an hour, then-

Haven’t lifted since Thursday, spent all weekend in Portland, 9+ hours yesterday in an airport/airplane and the majority of the last few days under the weather. Despite the fact that I’ve been pretty sick and ate like a bird over the last few days today was actually alright. I’ve gone as high as 225 for a deuce on the push press, but that was with a close grip. Tried that tonight with just 95 and it munched up my elbows, so brought it to where crease of my thumb where knurling meets smooth and it was alright. Felt wobbly on the bench but improved on inc db’s. Gonna do legs manana, upper and lower on Monday and Tuesday of next week then have to take the rest of the week off.
