I do a modified version of GVT, or 10X10.
I train each body part once per week except for legs, which I train twice.
At my age (43) the extra recovery time has done nothing but make me bigger.
Don’t know if it would be something you would be interested in, but I do know that it works for me.

Wow, there has really been an influx of tall guys this week! Young bull, you could probably put on 10-15 lbs naturally before your vacation by upping your calories and doing a good 5X5 program that has you squatting 3 days per week. Trust me, I know. You will be well served to squat and DL a bunch, and I’m willing to bet you’d get a great result from Snatch grip deads.
I was thinking about this. Going on a 5x5 designed by Vince Gironda. Also squatting 3 days per week? It takes me 3-4 to fully recover from 1 day a week of squatting. [/quote]
Do a search for the Starr/Pendlay 5X5. Squatting 3 days a week can be a challenge but you’re not squatting “balls out” everytime you squat. 1 day is a “ramp up” day starting low and going up to a heavy weight, one day is a recovery day with relatively low weight, or even front squat, and the other day is a heavy but “straight weight” day, keeping the weight the same for 5 sets.
