Doing the carries before lateral raises is very ballsy, they killed me. During the walk, I found the DB by my ear, my shoulder just said “Screw this” half-way there.
Tonight’ training/legs
Warm up: 2x10 wall squats, 1x20 spiderman crawls
Squat: 1x5xbar, 1x5x95, 1x5x115, 1x5x125, 1x5x135, 1x5x145, 3x3x165
GM: 1x5x95, 1x5x115, 1x5x135
Rack pulls: a bunch of rather uneventful quick singles and doubles @ 225, 245
DB walking lunges: 3x6 (each leg) x 45’s
By then it was late and I was hungry so I bagged the core work and went home. I’ll work it in tomorrow. When I got home I ate: ~ 10 oz. cottage cheese, a breadstick, a cheese stick, a huge bowl of steamed cauliflower w/garlic, and a vanilla protein shake. Luckily I got my colorful foods in earlier because I just realized that everything I ate tonight was white. I had a giant bowl of veggie soup, greek yogurt w/apricot & peach preserves, some random almonds, and a banana earlier today.
GM with 135 and rack pulls with 245, no wonder your back looks so good. WOW.
You killed the gm’s. I have not tried a weight that high on em - but I am creeping up there. Soon I s’pose… great little workout thar!
Back/arms training this evening
HS lat pulldown: 2x6x140 both arms, 2x6x70 each arm
DB bench row: 2x5x70, 2x4x70
HS high row, neutral grip: 1x8x90, 3x8x120
Stretchers: 1x8x60, 2x7x70 (I had to try them, everybody is doing them!)
SA cable pulldown: 1x8x90, 2x8x100
Dips: 1x8xbw, 1x7xbw, 1x8xbw
SS: Skullcrushers/CGBP: 1x10x55 each, 2x8x55 each
Cable triceps extension w/handle 1x8x30 each arm, 2x5x30 each arm
DB hammer curls: 3x8x20’s
done
Some gym rat guy came up to ask me if I used to do gymnastics. I said “Yeah. Why?” Apparently the group of dudes that train there in the evening were trying to guess if I had been a gymnast or a figure skater. He said that I had the best legs of anybody in there. Honestly, that’s not saying much, but it was a nice thing to hear.

Yeah at my gym, doesn’t mean much to me either when you see bodies that resemble puffer fish on pixie sticks.
