Fine-Tuning the Machine & Tacking on the Vanity Plates

Thanks for the pic MiM!

I didn’t put her chain “necklace” on, but here’s my girl & I chillin’…

Doesn’t she look vicious? Lol, this dog is a princess! Sleeps on a full size bed OR Gran’s tempurpedic if it is empty OR on the couch spread-eagle. No shame. She does have a cheese/food addiction though. Could stand to lose a few, but she’s big and strong. And she can jump. Powerful legs just like me ;)[/quote]

I’m very much jelly right now. Cannot WAIT to get out and get another pup!! Would love to have another pit, although, I’ll be happy with any large breed, really. But I prefer the bully breeds. And I need to ask: can we see the rest of that pic? :stuck_out_tongue:

This is Remy, doing what she does best!

I’m half laughing about the dog being propositioned, but on the other hand it’s quite sad because you know they want to use him to breed fighting dogs.

Please tell me you didn’t walk your gran’s dog with those shoes on…?

Cal- You are so right about my man being propositioned. We would certainly want nothing to do with dog fighting. He had been neutered as a puppy anyway. But the fact that people would pull over and stop their cars to ask about him was pretty funny.

No, those shoes have only been worn in two places: 1) my bedroom, for obvious reasons 2) the gym, for pole dancing classes.

I do a fair bit of dog walk/pet sitting though and will admit to walking dogs in sun dresses and espadrilles or other cute wedges. I dress like that when I’m not working and the weather is above 60 degrees F. Dresses provide for a much more forgiving fit for my body. Shorts are a disaster.

Hi Veggie I like your log.
I’m not a vegetarian but some weeks and months I just eat like one lol. I just go with it. There are a lot of pages in your log are there any veggie recipes in it? You along with many of the other t-vixens remind me of the covers of those “Chicks in Chain Mail” books. Have you read them?

Quickest way to this man’s heart… :stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, this song is old as hell, BUT when it came up during the ridiculous BB curl sets it kept me going. 10 x 10 curls is insane. Enough said.

Training tonight: Chest/arms GVT

Warmup: pullaparts, pullups, bradford presses, incline push ups on the bench

BP @ 80: 10, 10, 10, 9, 9, 7, 8, 9, 8, 6, 8; I moved my grip way in on these and they felt a lot stronger. And I managed not to pin myself.

BB curls @ 50: 10, 10, 10, 7, 8, 8, 9, 7, 7, 9; Fucking CRAZY. Cannot describe how my arms felt by the last few sets.

Dips, bw: 5, 5, 5, 5, 7; These felt awesome because contracting my tri’s helped relax my bi’s a bit. Gonna be sore tomorrow!

Rolling med ball pushups: 5 x 10

Done.

Home for dinner, single-malt, and foam rolling/stretching. Gonna sleep nice and late tomorrow.

I LOVE THIS ALBUM! Yes album

Me too! Sometimes I listen to the whole thing when I’m squatting/DLing.

Beast- Remy is gorgeous. I <3 canines, particularly of the big, badass variety. Most of them have better personalities than many people that I come in contact with. Thanks for the 2nd sexy woman w/pit photo. Someday I should do a photo shoot with my dog buddies. And the pic that I posted was in its entirety, not cropped.

Charlie- Thanks for stopping in. I don’t think that I’ve posted any recipes. Maybe I will sometime. Never heard of those books either, but they look interesting. I read pretty much everything and anything. Have to check them out.

There is a fitness competitor at my gym who will be 51 next month, she has a dog just like this. She keeps him in her car with the windows down, and he hangs his head out checking out the scene in the parking lot. I went up to her and told her, “now THAT is what I call car security!”

That would be a badass photo shoot!! And I would request pics. :stuck_out_tongue:

I stopped training arms directly, as (not to boast) my arms get enough work thru my presses and pulls, and are big enough. As I’m now incorporating cleans and such, big arms are a hinderance.

dogs are awesome, indeed.

Max- Security that barks and (potentially) bites. Nice. Forgot to comment on your cat. 22 lbs. Really? I have no doubt that he is a monster who could eat dogs… if he felt like getting up. Lol. Cats are funny. Got one of those too. Such a punk.

Beast- If that photo shoot ever happens you’ll definitely get pics. As far as training arms, I think the last time I did BB curls was during my last round of GVT in the fall. I was repping 35 then, so that seems to be proof-positive of what you said. Arms get hit hard with pressing/pulling. I rarely do direct biceps work. Still train tri’s as bench assistance and because I like to… The real reason that I did all of those curls was 1) mental challenge and 2) to impress my sweetheart (girl, you know I mean you!)

alexus- Dogs rule!

Got all wrapped up in posting my training (imagine that) last night and I forgot to give a recap of the Sunday brunch buffet at that Indian restaurant. WOW. It was one of the best spreads that I have ever seen. So many choices for me. They even had a vegetarian soup. I love piping hot soup. Since most of the weekend patrons are Indian and Pakistani families they spice everything accordingly. READ: hot. Nice. They also had mango lassi: delicious. I really should have taken a photo of the dessert buffet.

Instead I opted to use both hands for plates. No creamy delicious, but they had so many other things that were amazing: mango custard, a warm pistachio pudding, kheer (yum) and even Indian doughnuts. I never even knew that they had doughnuts! I wouldn’t have eaten them except for the fact that my girl put 2 on her plate, took one bite of each and promptly shoved the rest into my mouth. I didn’t have a choice. There was also this sticky orange thing. It almost was like a funnel cake, but stickier and fruity with a crunchier exterior, really difficult to describe. Found this photo, maybe someone can tell me what they are.

Today will be a rest day. Stretching and rolling in preparation for a morning squat/DL session before I go into the office tomorrow. UGHH. I have to do the toughest split in the MORNING! Really hope that the sick receptionist gets better soon. This M, T, W, F schedule is for the birds. I’ll be in the gym T, W, F this week and then I have to go to the state Chiropractic convention on Saturday. All day event, but it is always fun and I get a chance to check out new stuff and talk to sales reps, etc.

Long week ahead so the plan is to rest whenever I get the chance. Napping in the middle of the day will be a requirement. I refuse to let my training suffer on account of my job. I love my job and give it my all when I’m there, but I refuse to scale back my training just because things are busy and we’re short staffed at the office.

I love pits so much. Making them do dog fights is the sickest thing to me. Those poor babies ;(

Ha! You did the GVT curls just for little ol’ me?
Sounds painful, most I’ve done was FST-7 spider curls. Ow. 7 sets, 20-30 seconds rest in between. I think I must’ve done that… once heh heh

Aww, sorry about the schedule and needing to rearrange training accordingly. Doing a GVT leg session before work… isn’t that one of the reasons to call in sick? You know, coughing, vomiting, GVT leg session, fever… =D

Damn, Veg! Killer curls! Niiiiiiice.

So, 2 weeks of GVT and 4.6 lbs later (137.8 this morning)… what do y’all think.

Admittedly not as lean, but I don’t think that has changed that much. Not concerned about that anyway.

Legs seem to have gained some size and hardness actually. Adductors/quads especially.

Delts and arms too. (Pic to follow)

side-view, delts/arms

Woot lookin sexy!

I see no difference in lean-ness actually, you look the same if not even more slender. I know you’re not worried about it but still.

I just walked past a mirror and caught a glimpse of my delts and arms as well. They’re hyooge. Beautiful shit.

You look great Veg, thats what you get when you put in work.

^Yeah baby! Those BB curls left me swole last night, but I was too busy taking ‘other’ photos to take the progress pix.

You are too kind, sugarbuns!

Lanels- I basically loathe direct biceps work but it was kinda fun to push myself through all those sets!

I see it through your midsection…work it!
