Only one place to find a prowler. All the rest are ripoffs!

Jason, what are your thoughts on the econoprowler? I can just about stomach the price of the regular prowler, but the shipping costs on that puppy makes me choke a bit.

Ill just say this. Ive seen an econoprowler in more than one DI athletic weightroom. If you dont want the big one, go with the econo prowler. Absolutely recommend it.

Cool. Thanks.
I found this the other day: http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-DRAGGING-PUSHING-SLED-POWERLIFTING-STRONGMAN-/190361155595
I got my tax returns and am still debating what I want, the real deal or a cheap knock off.
This site has a lot of the same stuff as elite for much cheaper-

I’m actually about to order some db’s and bumper plates from 'em. Not sure where they are in Texas but hopefully they’re close enough that it cuts down my shipping costs, haha.
Tx Strength Systems is in San Antonio.
Strength and Power Equipment company. Scott Prosek is an Elite lifter at Bad Attitude Gym and can make anything you want for a fraction of the price. http://snpequipment.com/
I have had the Econo Prowler for a year now and wouldn’t trade it for the big version, especially considering cost.
I’ve been thinking about getting one.
Does it work in gravel? My other option is a bush hogged field.
How does the, “shit I vomited my lungs up” factor compare to hill sprints and farmers walks?

Not quite as bad as hill sprints but not as bad as farmers walks…
But let’s face it, they are all basically 3 levels of shit.
Just ordered the econo prowler today from EliteFTS

I think it would work in packed gravel as long as it’s level. Loose gravel would pose all kinds of problems. I have no idea what a bush hogged field is, but it sounds bad. I use it on pavement.
If you push the Prowler with the uprights it’s not as bad as hill sprints. But, as soon as you hit the low handles for a few trips it really bares its teeth. I can’t compare to farmer’s walks because I haven’t done those in a long time, but alternating between uprights and low handles is more difficult than hill sprints over the same distance (unless you’re on a ridiculous incline) with the same rest periods. It pretty much doesn’t matter what weight you use either, it just sucks. More weight = more suck.

That makes me laugh. Not a country boy, eh?

Technically it’s a brand of mowers. But us simple country folk use the term to mean essentially a tractor mowed area. It’s a very rough cut, not like you’d see on a lawn.

That could work if there aren’t any big ruts or holes in the field. The worst thing that could happen (I think) is to be pushing with the low handles, hit a rut, and face plant into the tube steel frame.
You’d also probably need cleats of some kind.

Econo Prowler, shipped to Kentucky = $303.52. In my opinion, the articles, videos, logs, q&a, etc are worth the extra 3 bucks. And it comes in chrome.
If you use stuff on EFS like the Q&A, read the articles, stare at Pegg’s pictures all day, just pay the few bucks extra for getting one from them, you might have to wait a month or so extra to be able to afford it, but support a company that gives away so much good info.

Fair enough. I didn’t deliberately not buy from EFS, I’ve gotten stuff from them before and will again. I spend time on another forum where Scott posts and logs, and he’s been helpful with advice also. He makes all the equipment himself and it’s quality. Anyway, just sharing my experience.
The chrome Prowler is sweet. Mine’s fire engine red which I also consider fairly awesome.
