Can anyone tell me if they’ve experimented with only protein for the duration of the fast. When I did a 2 week fast 3 months ago the worst thing about it was shoving down that awful udo’s oil.
Baines: Thanks for the info on your diet cycling. Sounds like a pretty good plan. I’m stuck with a slow metabolism myself, so I’m getting a little obsessive about losing the fat and keeping it off. I’m thinking about starting a 2 wk./3 wk. cycle like yours, or maybe even 3 wk./4 wk., and following JB’s Massive Eating diet in my mass phase(when part 2 comes out). I’m on day 3 and handling it a lot better than yesterday–felt like total shit. I’ve been mixing my flax with my protein shakes, only way I can stomach it. Anyone know if this poses problems with digestion of either?
T-Wife: If you’re gonna fat-fast, watch out for muscle loss along with the fat. I’m using Tribex and Androsol to minimize muscle loss, but I think I’ve read elsewhere that they don’t recommend women use these. Not sure though, you might want ask some of the Forum Gurus.
Grant-the best thing to do is mix your Udos in the shake. The protien powder cover the flavor of the grassy shit. Secondly, in response to your all protin suggestion, it was suggested by Lyle to Brock to take ONE day out of the week as an all protien day, and the other 6 days of the week stick to the rest of the plan.
Everyone else…stick with it! I know I can’t talk because I’m only on day 3 but just visualize yourself in your ripped state! It’s helped me.
Watts- The oil in the shake is about the only way I can stand it. I did have a plain salad yesterday for a little roughage and I put a tbl. spoon of flax over it and made believe was Italian. Also ate a can of tuna with a little flax on it when I was on the T-Dawg Diet a while back. I’m also on day 3. Staying fairly motivated so far. My wife is pregnant with twins right now, so she’s not exactly supportive of anyone losing weight/fat while she expands by the minute. But I’m stickin’ with it. I guess I’ll weigh myself and check my progress sometime this weekend.
Day 2 down,I’m praying for you all. Today was pretty easy just imagined a steak as I drank my greasy protein watered down shake. What powders are you using? Anything tasty to share with us? I wish they made bacon and eggs w/ french toast flavored protein powder.
Hey guys great thread. I got the remaining product that i needed last night so I start tomorrow. Maybe i will change my tune after I start the diet but I don’t find that my flax oil and shake with water taste bad at all. I take it twice a day in shakes right now and used to just take the flax oil separtely, which after awhile made me wanna hurl. I have been using Pro-Blend 55 by Human Development Technologies for protein cause up in Canada I can’t afford Biotest’s, I add my flax oil to it and I don’t mind the taste at all. Then again after taking the flax oil on its own, it would taste great any other way. Lets see how I feel after living on this stuff for 3-4 weeks. I will chart my progress along with you guys on the board here. Keep it going guys.
Its the middle of day 4…I have taken a suggestion from brock and gone on a virtually all protien day (on non-workout day). It is actually a nice break, because I am eating egg whites and chicken to the point of actually feeling , get this, FULL! Seeing as though straight protien has very little calories I can eat a descent amount today.
I woke up today, and my girl has already noticed I’ve lost weight…and she doesn’t know about the diet. That definatly pumped me up!
I faultered but I’m back on. BW is all over the place. Started at 190#, after 3 days on was 181#, 3 days off and crept up to 186#, back on for 2 days and now back to 183#. The water loss thing is weird. I look better but I’m actually smaller 'cause of less fluid volume. My serratus and top 2 abs have started poking out so I know something’s going on. I don’t mind the contents of the diet so much as its just hard to coordinate eating with others (co-workers, family, customers, etc.). BF before I started was 16.4% (bio-imp). I’m going to chack again by Friday.
Watts-I did mix the udo’s with the protein powder and it changed the taste of the shake dramatically. However, I just got my Advanced protein yesterday and it tastes fantastic so I’m going to try again. I wish everyone the best of luck with this diet.
I went on the FF diet and lasted a week. I think Brock used his LBM in the calculations for his calorie/day. Does anyone know if your BF% is higher if you lose BF faster? Also cant you guys recommend some SOLID FOOD for me to eat during my next FF in a month.
Well, day4 almost over. I’m freakin’ starving. I need some MD6 bad. I’m using up what I had left of some bargain SciFit Thermalcuts and they just aint helping with the hunger pangs. Opening the fridge right now for anything is a very dangerous prospect.
Watts- What exactly is the purpose of 1 all-protein day. If it will maximize results, I’m in. Not to mention, your description of your protein meals sounded damn good right now.
ems-I really found the all protien/whole food day to be kind of a break. I find the best food for this are chicken breasts and hardboiled egg whites. The egg whites are easily seperated from the yolk and taste good!-Watts-
It’s day 5, almost a week! I notice my muscles are a bit “deflated.” At the end of the diet I’m wondeering about doing the 1 day arm cure and or really loading up on creatine.
You ain’t kidding about being deflated. I think all the water I lost came right out of my biceps. Actually my whole body looks flat. I’m going to be 2-dimensional by the end of this diet. I hate this crap.
What kind of volume are you guys using? I’m doing my normal psycho routine (3 days on/1 off). All high intensity. No added cardio.

back - 12 sets
delts & traps - 15 sets (total)
bi’s - 6 sets
tri’s - 6 sets
legs - 15 sets (total)
abs & forearms - 12 sets (total)
Aaaaarrrggg!!! The peer pressure! The feeling I am letting my other T-guys down by not participating!! Every time I look at the forum, this thread stands out…and makes me feel like it is time…so guys, count another t-dude into the Fast Fat on Monday!!! I guess misery deserves company!!!
I think it is a bad idea to keep on working out like you are Lipo (unless you are on gear too). You should go into a maintnence mode, there is no way you will build mucle with a calorie deficit of over 1000 per day! Go to a three time a week split and add cardio. Its what Brock did and worked fine for him. His lifts didn’t improve but they also didn’t go down. The entire workout he followed is in the print mag. Day 4 for me and going ok, vascularity is now gone (it was great for a few days) and I feel like my breath is bad all the time. I drink more water than I ever have in my life now. Need a nap, see ya…
Well half way through day 1, so far so good. I am really impressed with MD6 and the appetite supression. I can only hope that it works this well the whole time through. Just gonna go hit the gym then go lock myself up at home. I picked today to start for reason, Fridays are pizza and beer with the whole group after work and this is my way of testing myself, how bad do i want it. Nothing is gonna get in my way. Not looking forward to getting flat, but it sounds like it is inevitable.Keep it up guys.
I am wonder what type of Training routine most of you guys are using on the Fast. I am looking at maybe follow the type of split that Brock used. Will see how my energy levels and strenght seem after one workout cycle.Lets hear it guys, whatta you all using.
