44 yr old male Getting ready to go on a cruise in March. I lift 4 days a week and ride my recumbent bike for 90 minutes a day (I only watch tv while on it) which is probably overkill. I have 8 weeks of training and cutting. What can I do to get more shredded or do I need to?

I would not try to overhaul what’s clearly working for you over the next two weeks. It sounds like you’re doing it right.

Certainly check out the article on loose skin, because that’s what’s going on - basically, it’s there and it’s a badge of honor for your incredible success.

Sometimes I do like to spend the last two weeks before a vacation dieting a little harder and training a little too much. That way I rebound on vacation and start looking pretty decent around midweek (rather than the first meal spilling me over, it takes 5!). More than a couple weeks of that will backfire and set you back, though, so don’t overdo it. It’s also subtle enough that only I’m going to notice, so it’s not worth doing if it causes you any extra stress.
