Does anyone remember the name of a cartoon that had all these high teck COPS characters. They were all cops and they had their special weapons and crap. I cant remember the name, its killing me, does anyone know what im talkign about ?
we canNOT forget GHOST BUSTERS.
Only on video and DVD can you see Robotech…
Favorite cartoon?
Tranzor Z.
It was about a boy named Tommy who was ordinary in most ways. He went to school, sometimes had a girlfriend, got beat up by bullies. Normal stuff.
But sometimes he would look at the far horizon and what did he see?
Giant evil robots sent by Dr. Demon!
Then Tommy would say the immortal words, “I gotta get Tranzor Z.”
He would hi-tail it home on his scooter, and out of his swimming pool rose the 70 foot tall robot made out of Ultra Alloy Z. He used his hovercraft to link into the robot’s head. Then he went out to deliver the beat-down to Demon’s creations.

Hey Nate… I think you mean the show …“C.O.P.S.” Original name huh.
Bulletproof is their leader, and they fought against the might, BIG BOSS!!!
have you ever noticed how futuristic cartoons and shows always have characters with haircuts that just scream 70’s and 80’s?
It has always bothered me to see an afro on a jive-talking woman from the year 2025. maybe its just me.

the simpsons, for the first 8-10yrs, is the greatest show of all time, animated or not. the family guy is up there just cause it’s so fuckin absurd.
muppet babies and he-man were my favorites when i was a kid. i still love beavis and butthead. there’s a shit load of cartoons that were cool when i was like 10 that didn’t last long
scooby doo was the shit, the one with the harlem globtrotters was a personal favorite. family guy rules, i have every episode on my computer.
i’ve been downloading a bunch of fat albert and the junkyard gang too, not sure if i like them or not yet…
Even better was the “Fat Abbott” spoof that south park did with the “clubhouses” episode where Stan’s mom and dad get a divorce. Who could forget this classic line from Fat Abbott:
“Shit, bitch, I got my jimmy whacked seven times last week. Maybe little later you can come over to ma house and suck my dick!”
Done faithfully in Fat Albert’s voice, of course. Hearing that come out of a “Fat Albert”-like character, and remembering how cheesy-nice the old original cartoon was, just made me laugh my ass off. South Park rules.
Oh man…
I was such a cartoon and video game fanboy back then.
Now, I’m STILL a cartoon and video game fanboy, but with responsibilities.
Anyway, some of my favorites…

Cowboy Bebop
Yu Yu Hakusho
Tenchi Series
Ranma 1/2
Inuyasha
Kikaider(I would love to see the live action series this is based off of.)

Sailor Moon(go ahead and laugh)
Kodomo no Omocha
Kare Kano

Mobile Suit Gundam
All Purpose Cultural Cat Girl Nuku Nuku
One Piece
Naruto
Whew! This is what happens when you’re in an anime club for 3 years.
Damn. I’ve watched a lot of shit.
As for Video games.
Earthbound, Final Fantasy series, Mario series, and Tecmo Super Bowl series
Short Dave: I said of our time. Mel Blanc was a phenomenon. Gordon Hunt (Helen Hunt’s father, and director of many shows, including Smurfs, and Dilbert,) mentioned working with Blanc when he was close to death. He was shocked that he could still do the voices when he was on oxygen.
But he also mentioned that Frank Welker is a genius beyond compare. ( I met him, Alan Young, and Danny Goldman, aka Brainy Smurf, a few years back.)
Yeah Mage, I figured that Mel Blanc would not have fit into the ‘our time’ category, but I just had to make sure.
And how come nobody has mentioned ‘Hulk Hogan’s Rock and Roll wrestling’ ???
Although not the best show out there, it was still a regularly watched program for me.
And Joey, I know alot of people who watch Powerpuff Girls… di dyou know that they were originally the Whoop-Ass girls… but that got changed for television.
And Speaking of Smurfs, that was one twisted cartoon, all the smurfs are sort of an undead creature, and smurfette was actually a dude smurf until Gargamel changed him to a her to try and lure other smurfs to him… all in an attempt to get enough smurfs to turn them into gold!!!

a few old school shows nobody has mentioned…
Karate Cat
Hong Kong Phooey
Secret Squirrel
Bucky O’Hare
Bravestar
Captain Caveman
All classics.
i never understood the smurfs, did they all have sex with smurfette?

Well as a kid it was spider man (great caracter with the extra human dimension of his everyday troubles).
-got tired of all the goofy supervillains.
Later on I really dug Daredevil, especially when the story evolved into something more realistic (the main caracter hits rock bottom and lives in hells kitchen, but still fights for justice).
Batman Dark Knight by Frank Miller is a Great work of art!
The Followup isn’t too shabby either.
Greatest comic ever: Sin City is beautifully told, the black/white ink is incredible… Simply breathtaking, and damn the man knws how to draw a beautifull woman…
See the thing with smurfs is… well was, back when it was still made in belgium, that the smurfs were all spawned from mushrooms, they weren’t alive, and if you captured 5 of them they turned into a gold bar. Thus why Gargamel was after them.
But a pretty disturbing comic was once made about how all the smurfs would have sex with smurfette once a year. It was a giant smurf gang bang, and it ruined the smurfs forever for me.

GI Joe was my toon of all time. I lived and died by the ebb and flow of the Hero’s Vs. Cobra. The blue lasers Vs’ the red.
Lately it has to be the Simpsons, King of the Hill, and The Family Guy. There was a Family guy on last night where the family befriends a nudist family and Stewy is performing showtunes. When Stewy performed at the old folks home an old lady started clapping and dislocated her wrist, then the old man sitting next to her starting pointing and laughing at her and ended up dislocating his Jaw! It was Hilarious…
