Fatima Whitbread and Her Troupe of Squirrels

Had quite a good workout today, came off a night shift and only had a few hours sleep due to the street parties going on …some wedding going on apparently !!, so anyway got up after a few hours zzzz time.

Did an upper body split–just learning to do a split routine.
Lats 61kg 5x5 + endurance set
Bench 40kg 5x5 + endurance set
Sitting cable row 60kg 5x5
Ohp 25 kg 5x5 (very weak ohp)
Pec flye 10kg 3x10

Then treadmill run
1.5 miles in 10.33 (new pb)

Mmm and dont employ and alcoholic drug user as a fast car driver eh !!

nice training-

I think we need some subtitles for the brit humor.

the strange direction of some comments from Brits are based on the following facts (not my opinion)

Diana and Charles had separated but had not divorced
When Charles is King he is also he head of the Church of England
The Church of England does not allow divorce
The Monarch therefore cannot be a divorcee
The church does not allow divorcees to remarry
Charles wanted to marry Camilla

all of the above is a very messy potential situation

however, none of it is a problem in reality as Diana dies in a car crash.

Charles is now not a divorcee, he is a widower, and can now be both King and head of the church
He can marry Camilla

car crashes in underpass after being chased by paperazzi

The driver of the car wasnt wearing a seatbelt- he died
Diana wasnt wearing a seabelt - died.
Diana’s boyfriend Dodi wasnt wearing a seatbelt - died

Only the bodyguard was wearing a seatbelt. He survived.

Yeah sorry we brits didn’t exactly explain that whole thing did we.

On the positive side charles does liking talking to plants though !!

Has some stuff been deleted in here? Why was that?

and is this a dual log now? I’ve been away a few days so forgive me if I’m being dense.

nothing so sinister has been said that required deletion. I didnt even go into the whole conspiracy theory stuff

I had made those posts above in the Get a Life forum (first visit there, I swear) and Bulldog copied and pasted it in here for the benefit of the oldies, I think.

For one brief moment, we thought the Secret Royal Conspiracy had reached across the Atlantic and had hacked into T-Nation to prevent The Truth from becoming known. Good to know our fears were groundless.

Wait a minute. . . . how do we know you’re the real BlueBrasil? How do we know this is the real T-Nation? IT’S A PLOT!!

Forgive me, we’re going through some loony tunes over here in the States. The prez just had to release his birth certificate because people won’t believe he’s an American citizen. The conspiracy theories are mind-boggling.

maybe I’m not the real Bluebrasil, or maybe I am…

this isnt the real T-Nation, mainly due to the fact that its not an actual nation, is it?

who is the elected leader?
what is the currency?
where is the written constitution?
what land does it cover?

ok, there are probably good answers to those questions, so maybe it is a real nation.

do we get to invade someone now? (someone who has large oil reserves preferably)

you’re a Bulldog — very British

you monitor the internet with a hawklike eye

I see your story could be true

I decided over the long weekend that I really need to take the advice of others here and actually try to get stronger in addition to doing clean and snatch.

so my hope is that I’ll be able to stick at it long enough to see benefits in strength itself and a carryover to the clean/snatch

sadly this means doing the things I really dont like, such as back squatting and even bench pressing

I’ll be doing a bit more of this sort of stuff, rotated with a bit less olympic stuff, and will just see how it goes. It might just turn into a long meander of rotating exercises with no progress, I will need to see

latest session

Back squat
20kg x5
40x5
50x5
60x5,5,5 all as far down as I could go, which is below parallel

bench press
20x5
40x5
50x5,5,5 all done with a shoulder width grip and a pause at the chest, both to save the shoulders

deadlift
60x5
75x5

its a gentle starting point for the bench and the deads, and moderate for the squats, but I want to keep the other two lifts in line with the squats rather than race away with them - no point in doing that when its the squats I want to improve most

Why are you guys ignoring the most important part of this whole wedding. Pippa’s ass, I mean good lord I’d kneel before that.

damn you Joe! I might have to look up some wedding stuff on the web just to check it out now.
it better be worth it.

See?

Careful Joe, a peasant found lusting after a Royal’s arse could get time in the stocks or even the Tower!

Me peasant…whip me etc…

BB,you ever seen any of the manhood stones in Scotland? Inver,Dinnie or the Blue Stones?? One day I hope to make a trip to lift a few of those and drink a lot of scotch.

absolutely, I carry a couple of manhood stones around with me at all times. I dont give them names though.

but those big bits of stone used as tests of strength? nope, never seen them in real life.

Good luck with giving them a try, And remember, the more Whisky you drink, the lighter the stone will look.

Is there a plan to come to a particular part of Scotland or is it more likely to be a general tourist trip?

ah, well, its been a while. Lots of reading of everyone elses threads, not much lifting, a sore swollen knee, lots of denial, then a visit to the doctors re said swollen knee, then a trip to hospital for x-rays, then a wait to be the top of the NHS queue, then…

…knee surgery : (

it was supposed to be “key hole” surgery but it must have been a bloody big key they used, judging by the size of the wounds.

however, hopefully the removal of half a dozen bits of loose cartilage will result in a pain free knee in due course. But in the mean time its still no lifting for me. Leg extensions may well form part of the rehab though, if that counts.

everyone else seems to be doing well in their lifts, keep up the good work.
