Extreme Bulking?

So the velocity is basicaly the extreme cycle diet for weight loss right? So im wondering what diet would be the flip side, which woudl be to gain alot of muslce mass. Assume you have what ever resources that are legal(no steroids) what would be the most extreme bulking diet?

I would venture to say that eating enough protein and carbs to make you feel relatively full (6-15 smaller meals). use the right supplements and work out like a demon possessed.

But that is common sense I guess albeit taken a little extreme) but I think you would really need to match your energy expediture with your calorie intake and develop the hyper metabolism (aka GFlux it baby).

Also remember that many people have had success with the anabolic diet to gain a heap of weight. Personalyy I would like to see shugs, Thib and JB even TC jump in on this one.

I havent really heard of anyone gaining weight on the anabolic diet.

You can, but since almost all the weight gained is lean, it was on me at least, it looks and feels slower.

Extreme bulking yes check out TC’s Chanko Diet from few years back thats extreme as are Berardi’s calculations in the original massive eating but id say chanko. follow that train hard youll gain

I breifly read the chanko article, was a good article. What im wondering is do you need to cycle this diet also? I know in the velocity diet you should only use it for a certain amount of time because its really not that healthy for you. Does the same apply to chanko diet?

lol no not really if ya get to huge back off lol. the V-diet you need to come off mainly due to how darn low the k/cals are and lack of food, chanko will do anything but suppress you thyroid etc.

Hey how did you get my picture???

Thanks for thinking I am a kid, but that just isn’t right. What is going on is I’m telling someone else, “No I don’t want that eighth Big Mac, you can have it. I’m on a diet”.

This article by Ian King describes bulking as not just a diet but an entire way of living:

http://www.T-Nation.com/readTopic.do?id=459537

The fundamental law in most areas of life (if not all) is that of balance as seen through the normal distribution in statistics. Which basically means that you gain benefit to a point than everything after this point diminishes your results.

The only problem with this law is that it is extremely difficult in discovering where you are on the continuum at any one time.

I believe that research and applying this in a methodical way, paying careful attention to baseline measures will help you.

In conclusion use a carefully laid out and methodical plan based on research(ala Beradi’s ‘massive eating’)and customise with some personal experience. Trial this for a month and evaluate, if results are good either continue or push the limit further. Life is about challenges.

Long Live The Body Science

I believe that there is fundamental law which is applicable to everything ‘Balance’.

There’s no ‘extreme bulking’. There’s only accepting enough fat gain and getting plenty of the macronutrients you need to grow. The specifics will vary from person to person. But as a general matter, once you’re eating enough calories to fuel optimal muscle growth, any further surplus will only lead to excess fat.

That said, chanko diet’s as good as any.

Wow, the Chanko diet sounds like a great idea. It had never occured to me before that you could quickly chow down a simple, easy to prepare rice-based mixture in between meals and shakes for your bulking needs.

I’m half asian, so eating rice is like second nature and the Chanko diet would suit me to a tee. lol

I’m gonna try it soon.

I’d say so. It’s not the most healthy way to LIVE, but for a phase of bulking it’d be good. I’d probably cycle it alongside AAS

Heh old topic I mainly asked for a skinny friend of mine, I think he is going to try it start of the new year or during winter break. Definitely an interesting diet not many people know about.

most people seem to think you arent really gaining unless you put on a ton of fat. i think with the AD you can gain more muscle just due to the anabolic affects which is also going to keep your fat down as well. as long as your lift numbers go up, your weight will go up…or at least your LBM and thats what its all about, right?

some like gaining weight just really fast since you CAN put up bigger weights just being heavier, seems illogical but its true and I have seen it happen a lot. Gaining a little more fat also usually means you are putting on plenty of muscle also.
