It’s definately not fat. I’m trying to figure out how to pull the muscle back in. I have the classic 4-pack (low abs there but not really visible). It’s almost like the GH gut.

I don’t know if this will help you, but it helped me out a bunch. My abs would look all distended and protruding-like.

I bought a bottle of colon blow, or something like that - and cleaned out my gut. Then I got on a regular proutine of taking a laxative, and now my gut is not as protruding.

As for the knee issues - I got on the glucosamine, and was finally able to squat for the first time in over a year and a half.

I heard something about the number of pounds of crap (almost literally) that’s sitting in our intestines, and doesn’t necessarily get passed.

I forgot how much can be stuck in there, but it was enough for someone to write an article about.

Perhaps you remember Joe DeFranco’s “D3 to the NFL” presentation at the Syracuse Strength Spectacular. His athlete ate bleu cheese with every meal and shit only once every couple days (I’m paraphrasing here). The dude had to drop weight for the Combine and he realized the guy was litterally full of shit…

Urban Legend. I believe it was started with an Elvis Presley death rumor that during his autopsy they found over 30lbs of crap in his intestines. The truth is, that would be much closer to 3-4lbs in the average human being at the most.

I don’t know how much crap is in my gut. I do know that after cleaning out - I stopped bloating up.

I figure it has mre to do with the gas that is trapped in the gut than the amount of unpassed dookie.

Took some laxative this weekend and had two massive BM’s which can be described best as “unholy”. It sould be illegal what I did to that toilet.

Anyway, I feel lighter and less swollen. Are the “colon blow-out” health products any good? Regular use of laxative is supposed to be bad. Might have to get myself on a regular “cleansing” program.

Need pics to judge if they can be considered unholy.

I wonder if regular use of fiber supplements would do the same as the stimulants that make you go, but without the long-term, negative effects.

I use Benefiber still, but probably not enough to make up for my lack of fiber intake. I’ve been thinking about increasing it’s use but I’m worried about possible side effects. Then again, not eating enough fiber in my diet probably has worse side effects.

I think the regular use of a fiber supp is probably a smart thing.

I wouldn’t use the colon blow approach every week. But man - when it works, it works. Thank God for cordless phones and Febreeze room freshener.

So whats:

  1. recommended colon cleanse product
  2. Max cleared old fecal matter due to use of such a product (2LB,3LB,10LB!?)
  3. Resultant side effects: better feeling of well being, less abdominal bloating, increased sensitivity to alcohol, etc.

Thats it.

That was me yesterday.

I get about 5 heaping tablespoons of Benefiber spread out over a day everyday for right now. The difference in my digestion and “evacuation” has been…awe inspiring. I now buy it just as often as I do any other supplement. I now consider it a necessity and wish I would have done this years ago.

When bulking, I eat typically 2 or 3 lbs of nuts a week. Those give me the best, no-wipey shits, with good volume too.

Though I might try some Benefiber now, after reading all the raving on this thread.

“awe inspiring evacuation”? From a 270lb guy? I’m gonna have nightmares for a week. I think Stephen King just started his new novel.

It was like DOMS, right above the knee caps but not in a muscle. It only hurt when I bent down like to pick something off the floor but it was all the time. It wasn’t a sharp pain like tendonitis. It wasn’t noticeable unless I squatted down. I think it may have been the Bulgarian Split Squats. That shit put a lot of pressure on my knees. Great exercise, but I think it was the cause of the pain.

Sounds like suprapatellar bursitis.

“Colon Blow” was a SNL skit.

Laxatives are not good for your colon.
They liquify your stools.
Use a good colon cleanse product.

This thread has really gone to the shitter.

It was the laxative that they used in Dumb and Dumber.

I used Magnesium Citrate. It’s supposedly the stuff that the hospitals use to evacuate patients’ GI pre-surgery.

As for liquifying the stool - who the hell cares? It’s not like you are going to do it every day, or every week for that matter.

Fully evacuating the colon is probably a procedure which should be done about as often as you should flush your radiator.

Every month is probably too much
Once a year is probably a good idea.

Flush and run the laxitive thru there, and eat good fibre content throught the year be in tip top colonic shape.

I agree.
