How wonderful, Goat. I look at a number of people and wonder why they can’t see how good they’ve got it.
And nice lifting.

ddint sleep well, kept thinking about getting 7 reps on BP…and it cost me…screw it, next time will be better!
BP 3x200, 3x225, 6x255 (PR+1) should have been 7 reps not 6…next time! I just could not get settled in and find stability.

I had the same issue getting settled yesterday as well. These things happened, and you still PR’d.
very solid pressing OG
I like the trap bar too- as a ‘deload’
and I suspect most ‘regular’ people are stronger with the hands neutral
A number of guys at my gym like doing trap bar DLs. They make it look so easy.
Thanks Joe and Kevin…And Kevin I am definitely “regular” people!
Cav- I think they are easier…

A mental blockage that obstructs sleep by visualizing rep PR’s for the following day.
There is no cure.

Two questions: 1) What is a gorilla walk? 2) Do the gorillas know you are joining them? blank stare

It’s the precursor to the bit mine…
Oldgoat, be happy it’s rep PR’s that keep you awake at night, lol
I’m sure you’ll smash the pr next time.
Kairiki–I refer to my 2 dogs as gorillas they are large and just have no clue how strong they are.
2 Busy - thanks man!
Today is cond/core day so I think instead of going to the gym I will take an extra long gorilla walk and do some slosh pipe carries…this year I was smart to leave my slosh pipe in the garage so it wouldn’t be frozen all winter…smart goat!

Have you noticed any real differences between trap deads and regular deads?

Joe I would have to say three things, at least for me…grip is easier and I have lousy grip. Second, I think the position of the weights and starting point are a little more user friendly to those of us(me) who have lousy DL form. Third, to me it hits more quad and upperback than conventional (which is fine for me I could use it all anyway) but I could be wrong about that: its just how I feel when doing them.
I started my training numbers super low so I could work on form ( have a history of getting ahead of myself with this lift) and now after several months I am just starting to work back to numbers that are “appropriate” for me.
Don’t know if that makes any sense or helps but it’s what a simple Old Goat does.
