Evans vs. Jackson

I support them, but don’t think they will make that much of a difference.

If you’re referring to the Shad/Page fight, I don’t know if I agree. There were a couple of instances where it was obvious he was just trying to tire Page out, but most of his time against the fencing was spent working for underhooks, avoiding knees and uppercuts in the clinch and hunting for a single or double. He showed legit skills in the clinch. I remember two instances in the fight when Page got the Thai clinch and Rashad immediately dropped down for the double-leg, pretty sweet.

So does Todd Duffee also hold the record for fastest hype-train derail??

There’s a thread on Sherdog about just that. The consensus over there is… drumroll… no.
Houston Alexander, Crocop, even Shogun (good comeback though, lol), have done worse.

Duffee’s career is just now hitting pavement. Cro Cop and Shogun hit potholes on their already long traveled and respected careers.

So,I don’t think they have done worse…BUT Duffee has the better advantage of being able to bounce back because his career is so young…AND he is still talented.

Brilz lost to Nog because Nog is a Nog. Simple as that. Brilz got fucked over so hard.

Hell yes. I love how he was given “get the fuck out of here” attitude from Lil Nog’s corner when he went to give respect…but then finally acknowledge him after the shitty decision. They knew Brilz was the better fighter that night.

Has anyone ever been successful in their first fight after a movie?

Did Evans look bigger or have I just not seen him in a while?

I always thought Evans looked huge for 205lbs. His legs are gigantic.

I think he’s on the smaller side myself. Griffin, Chuck, Tito, and Page are bigger. His legs obviously have some power in them, but they don’t look that big for his frame. The bench mark for huge in LHW is Griffin, a guy who starts his camp at 240 or so. Shad is significantly smaller than Forrest in their fight, until he was on top TKOing his ass.

Amir should make a more integrated approach to his training, or he’s gonna get cut…
I think the chances of Amir getting cut in the next couples years is virtually none. He’s too popular, people love his personality, etc. He’s also a good fighter. He’s 3-2 in the UFC and he’s fought pretty good competition. Hendricks is probably the top prospect at 170, so no shame in that loss, and Kim is a very respected fighter. He did pick apart Baroni and Blackburn standing up too.

I like Sadalloh, I just don’t think he’s the same caliber of athlete as the guys at the top are. I think he’ll have a long-career as a mid-level guy though.

I support yellow cards, but I don’t think Rashad needed to get one in that fight. He was a lot busier than Rampage was. Rashad was working for takedowns, Rampage just has great takedown defense. Rampage wasn’t looking to punish Rashad in the clinch after stuffing the takedowns. I’m not a huge fan of Rashad, but I have to respect a smart gameplan and he really looked like he wanted it more than Rampage.

Rashad is just short…that’s it. He does have huge legs and long arms for his frame.

Hmmm, going through some of the pics, the size difference between him and Tito or Chuck isn’t that pronounced. So yeah, maybe it’s his height.
Anyway, about those legs, nah, they aren’t that big. Decent development, but Evan’s legs have nothing on GSP or Alves.

I could see that argument for GSP…don’t know about Alves. Maybe his height and “development” help give the illusion of big legs like Rashad.

GSP just has great symmetry and has the illusion of size. Well balanced legs, Big round shoulders, good shape to biceps and lat width. Now a person with some big legs is Tyson Griffin as JOe Rogan said he has a badonkadonk.

On another note propr to Rashad, but does anyone else want Pride rules back? Title fights are losing their luster.

Shogun vs Rashad thoughts?

thoughts? rashad will try to ‘win’ rounds by laying up against the cage…woohoooo…exciting!

i Laughed all LOUD when Duffee got KTFO, that’s what you get when you try to play AS style.

They screwed Brilz, i felt sad for him.

The big question is: Where the hell do Sanchez and Page go from here?

Dr.Phil.

I think Sanchez moves back down he looked small and weak.
drewh wrote:

He needs a kick in the ass and somebody to tell him his striking(and footwork) is in the stone ages…AND he needs to move back down. He’s gonna get murdered at 170,imo.
