Also he doesn’t lay’n pray to victory

Why all the hate on Evans?[/quote]
Wears booty shorts
Touches his nipples
Is boring
Grabs his nuts and talks shit while getting KO’d
Enters the cage like he’s a monkey
Is trained by douches

Is he working with Greg Jackson for this fight? If so, Greg’s the man. Wittman/Van Arsdale are ok.

Yup, he’s with Jackson

i’m a big fan of VanArsdale, but i’m kinda biased since his brother is a friend of mine.
he is the only fighter to throw Randy Couture twice in one round, btw…
Yeah he is one of the most accomplished wrestlers to compete in mma, but age, conditioning and poor submission defense killed him imo.
Wow, never heard about him, gonna see if i can dig this fight up
The main card is easy to predict this time, apart from the lightweight bout:
Evans, Bisping, Duffee, Nogueira.
Evans will win because he’s smarter AND has a strategy, is well trained and motivated.
Rampage is a far cry from his pride days. A fighter like him needs desire above everything else, and that’s something he lacks bad.
A chance for a KO in this fight is small. I see Rashad by a relatively boring decision.
If…and its a BIG IF…Evans can stay away and do damage on the feet, he has a chance…
But I’m calling Rampage by total fucking destruction…
Mister Rampage Rape Jackson by Rapist left hook.
Rampage

Page, Miller, Russow, Nog. What LW bout? Sanchez is fighting Hathaway at WW. Anywho Sanchez.
Escudero and Kim for the Spike TV card.
Far cry from his Pride days??? He made it to the top in the UFC not pride.
Sanchez failed miserably. Shame.

i think age was the biggest factor…that and he relied on his superior wrestling and athleticism too much. i know quite a few guys that have rolled with him, and said that it was impossible to stop his takedown, but it wasn’t uncommon to submit him, and these are blue/purple belt guys…

weird.
there were quite a few surprises there…
Great night (morning for me). Bunch of upsets.
Evans implemented one hell of a gameplan against a less than 100% Rampage. I think he anticipated Page’s weight loss would affect his power and speed and used every advantage he had against him. A great fight, lot’s of strategy and a brilliant 3rd round. Shad showed a shitload of heart. That said, he’s got as glass a chin as Jardine (protects it better), and I think it’s great he’s recognized it and started doing the whole elusive thing, ala Machida. As evidence by that knock down, he needs to work on it before he takes on Shogun, lol. He’s lucky Yves Lavigne wasn’t refereeing that fight.
The Russow/Duffee fight was suck until Russow finally landed that shot. Good for him, heheh, sticking to it to the end. Mike needs to get in shape and get down to LHW, loose skin or not. He’s not hanging with any of the athletic specimens at HW and this fight proved it. Duffee barely had to sprawl. Wrt Duffee, his cardio is crap; you could tell he was pacing himself, but it wasn’t enough. By the middle of the 2nd round he had lost most of his power.
The Bisping fight was, well, a typical Bisping fight. Dan had a horrible gameplan, striking with a guy who clearly outclasses him on the feet. It’s a shame, I feel for the guy with all the drama in his life.
Missed the Diego fight, but wtf? 30-26? I need to catch it.
Oh, and Brilz got fucked over. Pure Bullshit, another brilliant decision by the Judges. I had him winning 29-28. He had a good strategy that exploited Lil’ Nog’s weakness. Nog needs to work on timing his sprawl that’s for sure.

I was actually wondering if someone here could explain the Brilz/Nog result to me… I still don’t see how that worked.
Russow was a sneaky bastard, but he admitted the fight was horrible. I thought he was just tiring Duffee out but did not see the one hit KO coming.
Anyways, honestly disappointed in the final showdown. Didn’t think either was functioning at their best. Ah well!
Does anyone else want yellow cards in the ufc? I can understand clinching but for the sole purpose of stalling it’s a bit much.
i only saw the PreLims, but here’s my .02…
Efrain fought a smart fight, albeit quite boring…he had clearly been working on his standup, and looks like he was testing it out. Louzon had no plan whatsoever…
Cane got hosed…well, it got stopped pretty quick. he only got hhit twice on the ground, and they stopped it… i think he would’ve gotten KO’d, but give him the chance, at least…
Sadallah needs to quit thinking he’s a MT prodigy.
yes, he’s improved his stand-up game a lot… but his first W’s came from submissions. Kim’s takedowns were unstoppable, and Amir’s ground game kept him form the submission. Amir should make a more integrated approach to his training, or he’s gonna get cut…

well, or at least teach the ref’s how to do their job… and the judges, i suppose.
