Great logs. So much info.

I don’t know if you’d already answer this question: How does you eating look like? Do you eat organic and what do you think of eating raw foods ONLY?

Thanks a lot. The best of luck in your upcoming events.

Hello JuicyLucy.

I am a Metabolic Typing Advisor and as such I follow a Metabolic Typing diet that is appropriate for my type-a fast oxidizer.

Yes, almost all of the foods that I eat are organic. When appropriate eating raw foods is an excellent way to go; however, this depends upon many factors i.e. your Metabolic Type, state of your digestive system, etc.

If you have not already I suggest that you go to my home page http://www.erictalmant.com and read the links to the articles that I provide on the main page because I think they will be right down your alley. I would also run a search on the Elitefts.com Q&A as I have been teaching and discussing Metabolic Typing over there for some time now.

If you have any questions after reading and researching please feel free to submit them to me on the Elite Q&A. I enjoy helping out if and where I can

Be well,

Eric

Thank you, Eric. I’ve heard of Metabolic typing, not looked in the book yet.
I know to determine a type there’s a test in the book. Is it accurate? Is there a better way how to find out one’s type?

Thanks.

PS. If anyone is carbohydrate dominant he/she can build muscle on less protein than protein dominant types?

The test in the book will give you a general idea (protein/carb/mixed type) and is a great place to start. The test that I give my clients is the Advanced MT test which will identify your dominance and subdominance and it is sort of the next step.

Yes, theoretically a carb dominant can optimally build muscle when eating a Metabolic Typing diet that is right for their type; as opposed to the traditional “cookie cutter” high protein diets that are touted by many. I have seen this many times in my practice. However, most carb types (slow oxidizers and sympathetic slows) are better endurance athletes than strength athletes in my experience.

Makes sense. Thanks a lot. I’ll be looking forward to seeing your dynamic stretching warm up.

Cheers.

Great workout. I don’t know how you manage to train for 2 hours daily. Pretty good.

I’ve got one more question for you:

Have you ever experienced lower back pain? Any ideas on how to strengthen one’s lower back properly so such condition doesn’t happen?
I play tennis and recently I’ve been having some problems with this area. I must say crunches help a little with it and stretching the glutes and around the hips does too.

By the way I’ve ordered The Metabolic Diet. Your articles on this subject were GREAT!

Thanks a lot.

I would love to help but I am not qualified enough in injury/pain assessment to be able to give an educated opinion. It could be a restriction due to poor range of motion around some of the joints which would lead to a muscle imbalance or it could be some degree of injury or ??? I am sorry that I cannot give you more feedback.

Thank you for the kind words regarding the Metabolic Typing diet articles. Now that is something that I am quite qualified to help you with

Thank you, Eric.
