How bad could the traffic in South Carolina be ?

Itās not on par with NYC, or LA, but itās bad enough.

I work out in the mornings too and found that showering at the gym saves some time. I have all my meals for the day in a cooler (prepared the night before) and everything ready for the next day.
When I used to return home to shower, I would get distracted and waste time doing little stuff around the house, checking the internet, changing my outfit five times, etc. Plus, my bathroom is now much easier to clean since I rarely shower at home. You know what a pain long hair can be.

My gym has only two showers and man they have a weird smell.
I did try that and you are right it saved time, but oooooh⦠I felt a little grungy.
You know, walking around in my bra and panties getting ready for work. Thatās what you do too right? In 4 inch heels?
Professor X, Zap, Jetric, Skynett, ScottM! come on you guys⦠gimme an idea about how you folks work it in between your jobs and all that.
my day is a little backwards so Iāll start when I go to bed.
3am: Sleep
10am: drive wifey to class
11:30-2:30: Nap (unless i have plans after work then I gym during this time).
3:00-10:00: work
10:30-11:30/12:00: gym
12:30-3:00am: hang out time which is either bars (and diet cokes) with friends or tv time/road trips to various diners with my gf.
I pretty much eat all day long so no need to put it in here. Iāve got about 15 lbs of assorted protein in my car so Iām always poppin shakes.
Weekends I play by ear. Most saturdays I work atleast 8am-1 and then off most sundays.
Iāll workout between 4 and 5 times a week depending on which days I have more time.
from time to time Iāll train a bit later around 1 or 2am. You guys are right about the gyms being dead and more peaceful.
Where ever you are at this hour youāll run into some holigans sooner or later. One time I was there late and there was about 3 or 4 buddies lifting completely shirtless. The weirdest thing was they werenāt remotely in shape. Iām talking beer bellies and back hair.
Thanks Azzurri!

Itās probably just another symptom of Gen-MySpace where many believe that every bit of minutia from of their day-to-day is simply fascinating and must be shared with all.

My gym is 1/2 mile from work and I train over lunch and eat at my desk. I have weights at home I sometimes lift in the evening and weekends but it is tough with the kids around.
I tried to hit the gym before work but I hated it.
I wish I had more time!

You donāt really need a log of your training life(or lack thereof) to ask a few questions. I donāt think anyone here is advocating the total removal of all curiosity from beginners, itās just that as said, a full detailed diary of their daily life isnāt required for some veterans to give them the push they may need.
The mass amount of logs almost suggests that these people are afraid to just ask questions, and need the format of āhereās what Iām doing(wrong) come look!ā to get any feedback. The way some of them react to criticism correlates pretty well to that suggestion =/[/quote]
In all fairness, as soon as someone just asks a question, people chime in saying, We need every detail of your diet and workout.
And in all fairness, the details usually ARE needed because when posters say āmy diet is usually pretty good,ā theyāre actually comparing it to the old food pyramid or the garbage they learned in high school health class.

Have you ever driven around hillbillies who dont know how to read a traffic light?
No one uses blinkers in the great state of South Cackalackee, so trust me, traffic sux because of so many idiots.

OG, my gym recently changed their hours and now open at 5am. Its great. I wake up at 430am, throw on my clothes, a ball cap if Im doing legs & cardio, out the door by 445am, and at the gym by 448am waiting for them to open the doors.
Since the gym is literally 3 minutes from my house I usually drive home to get ready for work. I wear scrubs so thereās no wondering what Im going to wear to work. If I run a little late, having long hair is a blessing!!! Rat the back of the hair, throw it up in a fancy clip, throw on a pair of cute silver earrings, and people think you spent all morning on your hair when in reality it took 5 minutes!! I dont use a lot of makeup when going to work. Just mascara, lipstick/liner, and a little foundation to coverup any blotchyness. In the summer itās mascara and lipstick/liner only because of being so tan.
As far as food goes, cook all my meals on the weekend, throw them in a container, and freeze. Wah-lah, my very own personal frozen dinner.
Hope that helps a little.

This is what my kitchen counter looks like every Saturday morning at 630amā¦
