You could always buy horse tranquilizer and shoot yourself every night. They sell that.
Hahahaha, i wonder for how long i will sleep. It is not i want to buy energy, well in a way yes, but i need an extra boost until i get trhough this new workout where i get hit and punch to develop motor skills against it.
I get 8 hrs of sleep and eat right but it is not enough. I am walking down the path of overtraining but that’s something we smoetimes have to do and i have the support of my coaches, i will soon get Spike by mail and try it.
No energy supp ever worked more than once for me. The Power Drive helps me focus when my blood sugar flatlines or I get run down, but not any kind of energy boost. Spike will work once or twice, but peters out quickly. Only sleep ever helped for energy. For those of you that have a hard time getting the brain to slow the *&%$ down, I use something from a German company called Das Gesunde Plus, the product is Beruhigungs Dragees (no idea what the hell it translates to. I fall asleep quickly and sleep like a pothead.
Other things you can try are:
Greens+ Extra Energy
or
2000 mg of Vitamin C (if its time released, you have to chew it, you don’t want the time release to get a stimulant effect.

What are you talking about? I always get a high from Orange Juice. Put some pulp in it and I’ll be bouncing off the walls. [/sarcasm]
So what if i try orange juice ANd Spike at the same time : )
It’d be risky…
Who needs steroids when we have the migh of the orange!
Hey eengrms76 since you know a lot about this. i just got my Spike today, and i am planning to take one later on. Do you think i should go for it? i mean a lot people say just sleep but it is not enough, and since i have a metatarsal fracture and a turf toe i am out of striking and MA for some days and they put me on a gym and grappling regimen that is really tiring. I have a tournament coming up VERY soon (2 weeks) and it will be submision wrestling (is like all sorts of grapling) my coaches have OK it but what you think because i doubt orange juice and vitamin C will cut it… : (

I agree, it sounds weird. Its not overly powerful either.
But before you say it dosn’t work:
Have you tried it? (that would be a pretty easy way of debunking it)
or,
have you seen, read, or heard of people’s results to the contrary?

I take multivitamins that have 300 mg of vitamin C. I workout, and in between when i feel exausthed i take a re-hydrate drink that contains over 1200 mg of vitamin C. Before i workout sometimes i take a blend of citrus fruits drink.
And i have to say i have read a lot of vitmain C and performance so i cannot complain, however i do not feel a boost of energy type of effect, so it is not a stimulant.
Other people that take big quantities of vitamin C also do not feel a stimulant effect, but it does helps your body don’t get me wrong but it is not a stimulant.
Edit: may point was not clear before i meant it help (vit C) but it is not a stimulant.

Please don’t drag this thread down hill.
I have been taking Vitamin C for about 30 years! I have never taken less than 2000 mg per day, and often up to 5000 mg per day. My wife calls me the walking Vitamin C experiment.
Not that I would have to have done that to tell you definitively that Vitamin C is not a stimulant, end of topic.
Honestly, there is no real excuse for being so very ignorant about a vitamin that has been around a very long time. Especially with all of the information at your fingertips.
Some, should just read posts and not actually try to contribute…
Stop with the vitmain fight! I take it, i like it, it is not a stimulant but it benefits our body. Vitamins are cofactors so they help our body with the activities it needs to get done. Now let’s leave this aside please. And continue with the suplement talk, thank you.

Ok, thanks both of you for that. I’ll have to be more objective the next time I try it.
I acually got the suggestion from the forums here.
Don’t you get any kind of G.I. distress when you take more than 2 grams of Viamin C at once?

In big quntities it gives you diarreha, like 2000 miligrams (although i take near to 1500 ro 1000) should be ok with exercise, but yeah for some people 2000miligrams mean a sure diarreha.

2000 mg. will NOT give you darreha! Diarreha will occur at around (it varies per person) levels of 7000 mg. or more per day

You know, this is the first time I have ever heard of someone getting diarreha from taking a mere 3000 mg. of Vitamin C.
