Endurance While I Want To Get Bigger

Great White, Tiger, or Bull? :joy:

What turn have I taken in my life to list my order of favorite imagined sharks to a stranger on an internet bodybuilding forum? But since you asked.

1.) Tiger
2.) Mako
3.) Thresher

Bull sharks are from the ocean’s equivalent of New Jersey, and great whites are boring. Megalodons though . . .

I still defend my swimming psychology.

No, it was in June 2019, about 6 mos. prior.

No. I would only go to doctors or hospitals for serious injuries prior to that.

Yes, I’m in good shape (thanks for asking). My last cardiac check up was earlier this month, and my doc was happy to see that everything is as good as can be. :+1: He calls me his star patient to the nurses.

Honestly, I feel kinda guilty for clogging up your thread here.

Its not my intention to scare. Fear only gets people so far, then wears off.

Seeing benefits is what keeps people going. :+1:

If you’re not familiar with research products then no need to go there.
What you could try is a nitric oxide booster on sprint days
I’m not sure if you mentioned this but is the main issue a cardio problem or muscular breakdown while running hard?
Either way the solution is going to simply put in time on the track.

You say you havent had any cardiac checks at all prior to that??
Anyway, dont feel bad i asked the questions, you’re polite and answering.

Im so happy you are ok and i think you can do better&better just go for it.

main issue is my fear that backing off from the usual routine i follow will affect gains,
If i understand your question right, not a health issue.

Yeah, i appreciate all the help and this will try…

Any small bit lost will come back extremely quickly. As long as your giving the muscles stimulus you will really lose nothing.
You might drop a little glycogen which will affect muscle fullness temporarily but it really shouldn’t even be a concern.
This is about your future. Don’t jeapordize that for a couple weeks at lower volume.
When is the test?

No. I was in so-so shape at the time, but historically have been somewhere between incredible to freak.

This was my typical condition for the majority of adulthood, like 18- early 40’s.
Usually a fair bit more muscle past age 27, when I got sober and started lifting harder again.

That is very kind. Thank you. :hugs:

This is the thing. We dont know it may take a lot of time (which i hope because now im not passing the tests) but because it isnt set yet we just preparing.

For now I would just increase cardio by jogging a few times a week and pick one day on the weekend to do sprints. 1/4 mile sprint then walk a half mile or so. See how that does for a few weeks and meanwhile find out when you can take the test again. Drop down to two heavy lower days in the meantime and if you need the third just do some lite work so your legs aren’t beat for sprinting.
Make sure you’re getting plenty of warmup before you start.

It is strange you were in great shape (were because you have an old photo no offence) and seeing you like this would never thought that this could happen to you.

I mean you couldnt have had any tests, didnt you have a family member tell you to go and get checked? It is common among people that train to have some checks… not that im a role model to that,my cardiac test was two years ago, but still…

So when you say sober, you mean you also drank right?

One by one you are unfolding your guilty habits

You know that i screenshot and write down your suggestions.

I will be a little more needy and ask you if you could suggest a weekly program based on these
Lifting 4 times a week and running 3.
How can i combine these in a week to get enough rest and wont risk an injury?
Thank you, and i know its a little lot so feel free to pass the last question,im just trying my shots…

Everything! Pills, coke, hallucinogens, booze, etc.

I know for sure in that pic that I had at least an 8 ball and a ton of beers just prior.

If this the case its not a surprise after all you had this experience wtf why do something like this?

I sleep at 10 o clock almost every night, havent drink or smoke once in my life, still damaged inside but at least i have excluded the dangers of all of these you describe
If you are telling the truth this is insaneeee

I was pretty fortunate. I did a lot of stuff with comparatively little consequences.

Swimming is good stuff. Great Whites are boring, until they sever you in half. I find the hammerhead shark to be an amazing product of nature. The thresher shark is so unique. The mako, the greyhound of the ocean. The tiger shark, a lot damn bigger than most people think.

Good call on the megalodon.

I’m currently at the gym then will be traveling. I’ll get back to your question when I can
