Elbow Problems (Not Sure What It Is)

I have a lingering elbow problem that I think stemmed from doing way too much underhand chins and pulldowns over a concentrated period of time. Looked up different kinds of elbow injuries but wasn’t sure what this is called. Foam rolling my lats had helped in the past, but not so much this time. The pain is most intense during underhand pulling movements as well as when I go down deep during benching and pressing movements.

Any advice would be appreciated

Its somewhat rare to have this, you probably need to sort your hips out.

elaborate on this please.

Medial epicondylitis, perhaps. Hurts on inside of elbow when wrist is supinated, then loaded?

Try working your forearm extensors a bit (wrist extension curls, VERY LIGHT … and rubber band finger spreads), and attacking the inside of your elbow and wrist flexors with a lacrosse ball.

EDIT: Also, look up voodoo band flossing. I’ve been using it on my forearms for a nasty wrist injury and I think it’s helping.

I trained with nagging elbow pain for about 2 years :-/ turned into some pretty nasty tendinitis. Forearm flexor stretching, soft tissue work, and wrist extensor strengthening were probably the most beneficial of everything I tried. Although i never tried ice which is recommended by just about everybody! Also had to re-evaluate my exercise selection. No chins, snatches or clean grip anythings.
