Elbow Pain - What Helps?

Other than ice and ibu does anyone have pain relief idea for debilitating elbow pain?
Thanks

What is causing the pain?

One time I had debilitating elbow pain caused by herniated disc compressing the nerve root at C8/T1. It took 6-9 months to heal. Muscle spasm in forearms caused a lot of the pain, and wearing a brace at night made by the occupational therapist helped a lot. The brace kept the elbow in neutral position. Without the brace, I’d wake up with my elbow and wrist fully flexed.

Over time, spinal posture has a big effect on the elbow. Improving thoracic extension and scapular stability can really help.

And self-trigger point therapy can be helpful too.

If certain movements are aggravating the elbow, though, you must stop them. Most elbow problems seem to be chronic in nature, so they take time to correct by fixing the cause.
