Ectomorph Supplement Question?

I think I’m some where between an ectomorph and a mesomorph. At 5’3 no one would accuse me of being lanky but I have always been told I need to eat and have spent most my life with my weight in the double digits. Odd thing is I always excelled at fast twitch sports. I was a sprinter, high jumper and pole vaulter in my track days in high school.

When I went into Basic military training I had to quit smoking, only ate 3 meal a day and did nothing but calisthenics and cardio (which ectomorphs are supposed to avoid like the plague) I went in on a weight waver at 94 lbs and came out 124 lbs in 6 weeks time. I got lazy and picked up old habits and dropped back down to the double digits over the years.

My question is if I want to get as big as genetically possible should I start using supplements now or wait till I reach my peak weight since I know I can get there without them?

My fear is if I use product brand X that guaranties 20 lb gain in 6 weeks and I start at 98 lb I’ll only get to 118 but if I wait and put those 30 lbs back on I’ll get to 148. For me that would be massive.

Well I’d take any guarantee by any supplement comapny and forget it. You need to learn how to eat first and foremost. Protein powder and creatine are cheap enough to be staples but after that it’s just FOOD FOOD FOOD you need to worry about.
