Hey Eric Cressey,
I was wondering what type of GPP you would have a sprinter (60 - 400 meters) perform?
Thanks,

Tempo runs at 60-80% of max speed would be your best bet, although it’s also going to depend on the athlete’s initial work capacity. Keep it between 100 and 400m at this intensity, and always err on the side of going “too slow.”
Also, most athletes can always benefit from some lower intensity work in the weight room to correct imbalances and get the blood flowing (see Cardio Confusion).
