Eastern USA SHW Champ Max Charles = WTF?

400lb dumbell press, arguably HARDER to do than a bench press, he does 10-12 or something

Some people have touched on this already, but what really strikes me about this is just the attitude. So many people, here and elsewhere, think “I could never do those numbers, so there’s no way he can.” My first thought was “man, if he can do that then someday maybe I will too”. More than anything, hearing his tales of 495 for reps makes me want to get in the gym and start benching.

Well, hearing tales of someone doing 495 for reps makes others want to…
Discuss the validity of the statement. Duh.

What’s next, writing poems about the agony and impossibility of it like some 80lb goth?

I think the biggest mistake was giving every jackass with a keyboard a chance to write what is on their mind. As we can see, it ain’t much.

It makes me wonder how guys like Ronnie deal with shit like that. Do they just ignore all of that dumbassery or do they take any of it to heart?

It seems to be en vogue to spend most of your time degrading any and every one who has accomplished more than you have…even on this forum.

Those threads that Gifted/Brandon Curry started come to mind.

If you see some guy that big and that strong and the only thing you think of is “steroids!! lol!”, the guy with the muscles isn’t the one with the problem.

For some people around here it seems that way. I’ve been in a state of near constant despair since I overheard two stick-thin guys arguing about the best way to lose weight to fit into their skinny jeans, but it hasn’t quite moved me to poetry yet.

Ronnie doesn’t have to deal with it all that much I think… People in his area probably know him, and it’s hard not to like that guy.
Who knows what he does/whom he “hangs out with”. Might be mostly other BB’ers/guys from Metroflex… (not that I know for sure, but you get what I mean)

Do people normally insult you while being in the same Room and within hearing distance? Ronnie is quite a bit bigger than us and I doubt that many would think of insulting him when he were standing right in front of them.
They’d probably think more along the lines of “Oh *****, my torso could fit into his upper arm… I hope he isn’t hungry.”

Does he ever post in internet forums, anyway?

Other than that… People should just disable the comments when putting up vids on youtube… EliteFS do it and many others as well. The comments are just BS 99 percent of the time anyway.

They probably consider it poetry anyway.

Or the sound of their bones rattling when a gust of wind blows them down the street

Hell, all I have been getting lately is complements and complete strangers coming up to me and telling me to keep it up. However, I am guessing that if retards like this are leaving comments all over these guys’ videos, that someone somewhere is likely saying similar shit when out of the room. People are pussies in general and most will NEVER in a million years say out loud what they write on the internet (that goes for certain authors as well). It just seems that with the way people are going out of their way to call out Max Charles that eventually some of that just might get to you a little even if you don’t usually care that much what every jackass thinks.

I agree with disabling the comments. ALL of them should do that. Otherwise you get three hundred 120lbs idiots from all over the world asking 48 times whether they can wipe their own ass.

Hey, don’t you insult people with goals that differ from yours. Just because someone wants to be able to fly without a plane (It’s mostly about weighing 60 lbs and being able to use your skin as wings… That requires skill, it’s not like you can just pop some pills and start flying immediately… Erm… Well… Sort of…) doesn’t mean that you can make fun of them!

Right.

Look at that quote again… See what reading those youtube comments did to me? I wrote room with a capital R in the middle of a sentence…
I’m never going to read youtube comments again. Ever.
My poor I.Q. probably got reduced by at least 25 percent…

Oh yeah. What I basically meant was:
Ronnie probably doesn’t even know about all this shit and hence doesn’t care.

He seems like the kind of guy who’d laugh it off, anyway. Might even come back with some rather funny remark, you never know. He’s infinitely smarter than people give him credit for.

Agreed. Maybe I’m the one who should care less.

another photo of the guy

This thread reminded me of that 150 lb kid who benched 100 lb DBs (on video remind you) and many called it BS, lol. Yet, some guy can give a number on his lifts (which seem ridiculous IDK), and those same people believe it.

interesting

I’ve never in my life watched a bodybuilding clip on youtube and not seen ‘steriods’ in the comments.

Gee, could it be BECAUSE THE KID IS 150LBS? This guy is 300LBS when he is lifting that much. The real question is, why WOULDN’T people believe it if some guy is THAT big?
