DZs Summer Log

Had to work this weekend, but got in some cinder block farmers Sunday before my tattoo app.

Haven’t updated my body weight in a while. I’m down to 204 today, it’s been fluctuating between 203 and 205 for a couple weeks. If only I could lay off the crap I’d actually succeed in getting back to 198 class.

Today Deads
1x8x135
1x6x185
1x4x225
1x4x275
6x4x325
That was pretty tough but not as hard as I expected. I may never go back to conventional.
Next session will be 6 sets of 5.

Hanging Leg Raises
2x15

Leg Curls
3x6x130

Seated Calf Raises
3x30x90

Great deads DZ. You have to read this article,‘Boy, You Gotta Carry That Weight!’. Its on the front page of this site. I’m gonna do some of the exercises tonight after work.

Yea, cool huh? I went over that this morning thinking to myself,“I knew carrying heavy shit was good for you.” My reps aren’t long enough though. What’d it say, 100 steps or a full minute? I’m not sure I could carry my 120lb stone that long. I’ve just gotten some new stones. We had some serious flooding recently, and I found a couple spots washed out, and collected two loads of different sized stones. Mostly for the landscaping, but I got several because they looked like good carrying rocks. Some really odd shapes and stuff.

Tatoo appt? Getting a new one? Where and what?

Working on a back piece started nearly a year ago. I’ll get some pics up sometime.

Great pulling DZ.

I thought I remembered the Tat. you posted this in your old log

should be looking great by now

After I finish my sleeves I think I will move onto my back. The sleeves are taking forever though, like 20 years so far:)

That Tat reminds me of some old Yes album covers for some reason…

Good design. Should look even better filled in.

Yea, that’s the one Doggie. The tree’s finished now, the sun is finished, and now she’s shading the dragon and started some color. My left arm is covered with a piece of cover art from a fiction/fantasy novelist. Mostly green dragon with some blues and purples. The dragon on the back is going to be colored in the fashion of Smaug,a golden dragon from The Hobbit. Brighter near the sun and fading to a bronze on the other side.

DCA, I like that analogy, thanks. I still own most of those old Yes albums from the 70’s.

I finally got the nerve to go for it after I turned 40. Always wanted tats, but I guess it was the fear of commitment. I didn’t get married till I was 34. It takes years though right? I’ve only been to one artist, she’s cool. But it takes months to get an appointment with her.

Deads are looking good, sumo seems to be working for you. Only got one tatoo on me. Two little green feet on my, uh, hip. Old PJ tradition. Guess I never thought about how long it takes to complete some the more complicated tatoos.

Thanks hel!

A side note to today’s workout. I tried some close grip pressing with the bar, some DB flys both were impossible without significant pain. I don’t want to stop benching, I’ve made an appointment to see a doctor.
August 6, so it’ll be a few weeks. I’ll be doing deadlift only, on August 15th.

Good job of training around the injury DZ. Funny thing about those album covers. My daughter, for the life of her, cant figure out how music was even made before an Ipod or a CD. I miss vinyl.

Nice deads. The outside work looking good too. I counted my steps last time as well. Found it helpful. Hope the shoulder heals up real soon.

Thanks Eco!
Next time I wanna time those 100 step sets, should be around 1 minute. As I mentioned earlier I recently gathered some more stones, 'cept I don’t know what they weigh, I’ll just mess with them and see how it goes. The 120lb’er is gonna be a killer I think.
