I am very jealous of your tire there DZ.

My wife would stroke if I tried to put one in our yard.

I’m thinking I need to either take it to the backyard, or out to the street. It’s tearing up the wet grass pretty fast.

I wondered about that when you mentioned making a sled. Thought you must have tough grass that regrows over night…

Actually the grass does recover very quickly after tire flipping. But I don’t think sled dragging will be good for it at all.

I’ll admit, I’ve been reserving my energy for work this week, it’s been a record breaker this week and I’ve been dead tired.

Weight is 207 this morning. That’s down about 3lbs over the last 2-3 weeks. I could be doing a lot better with the diet still though. I’ve basically just reduced the size of the meals while keeping protein intake high with shakes.

Low Box Squats
1x10xbar
1x8x95
1x6x135
1x4x185
1x4x225
4x2x275

Hanging Leg Raises
2x15

Seated Calf Raises
3x30x90

Leg Curls
3x8x150

Pull Throughs
3x8x240

I usually resist the temptation to whine about aches and pains on my log, but I do believe there’s something wrong with my right shoulder. Constant pain, even while squatting. I’ve been avoiding pressing intentionally, that makes it worse. If it doesn’t get to feeling better soon, I may have to visit the doctor.

The guy that lived there, out of the blue, started asking me about my tire. That was kind of weird.

But, that’s what make you FAMOUS!

Deez,
killer flips, man, 100? wow. Box squats are looking good too.
old lardass

Took the girls to see Star Trek early Saturday, cool movie. Spent the rest of the weekend digging, planting, and mowing. Happy Monday to you all!

10 sets of “cindy walks” this morning, to start the week.

Rear Delt Raises
2x10x30

Plate Loaded shoulder press
1x10x70
1x8x90
2x8x110

Preacher Curls
3x8x70

Skull Crushers
1x10xbar

Front Laterals
2x10x25

Side Bends
2x10x100

Cable Pushdowns
3x10x160

Paloff Iso Holds
2x60x30sec

Side Laterals hurt too badly. Tried the flat bench just to see how it would feel, not too good.

I feel for you with the shoulder issue DZ. I’ll be intrested to hear how you rehab.
Is that a 26.5-25 loader tire?

Thanks willy. I went to a doctor a few years ago about the shoulder pain and he told me it was simply over use. Lay off what hurts it for a couple weeks and it should feel better, that worked. It's been a couple weeks since I last did any pressing, and it's feeling a bit better. That's why I did some shoulder work today.
That is a loader tire. Found it in a junk yard full of big road graders and loaders. There were four of them, they've since cleaned up the junk yard, everything's gone.

Oh you know what I’m talkn bout when I say shoulder pain?

Yep, mine’s feeling better and better though. I hope yours heals up quickly.

Hot and sunny this morning, not really my kind of weather. But I’ve got yard chores to do this morning, and I feel like flipping a tire. My sets were round trippers this morning. 8 flips one way, a few seconds rest then 8 flips back. 8 sets of that, and I threw in a couple extra while I was putting it away for an even 130 flips.

Happy Memorial Day to everyone!
Thank God for our vets.

I’ve got another weekend of projects planned, but first I got into the gym this morning to get in a good lifting session.

Weight still 207 this morning.
Mudvayne on the MP3.

1x6x275
1x4x325

Pull Throughs
1x8x240
2x6x280

Cable Mid-Rows
3x6x160

Ab Pulldowns
2x8x100

I hope everyone had a great holiday weekend.
The shoulder hasn’t been hurting too badly, so I thought I would give some pressing a try today.
It didn’t work out too well, lot’s of pain once I got going.

Bench
1x10xbar
1x8x95
1x6x135
1x1x185 That hurt like hell!

Let’s try this
HS Incline
1x8x90
0x185 Nope

Plate Loaded Shoulder Press
1x8x90
1x8x110
2x6x130
That felt fine

Rear Delt Raises
2x10x30

Front Laterals
2x10x25

Tates
2x8x40

Skull Crushers
2x8x70

Hypers
2x15x30

I guess I’m gonna have to stick to my squats, and deads, and my yard toys, which is fine. I kinda lean towards enjoying the functional strength/ strong man stuff anyway.

Yard games this morning.

While I’m working out, I’m trying to guess how far it is one way across the yard again.
I’d say a one way trip is about 15-18 yards. I should measure that some day.

2 round trip sets “cindy walks”
for warm up

4 more sets HIIT style.

4 one way sets of 120lb stone carries.

4 more sets “cindy walks”

Finished with 2 one way sets of stone carries.

16 total sets, about 40 minutes.

DZ-- numbers look great even with shoulder troubles! Nice pulls the other day.

I’m enjoying the ‘yard games’ workouts. I think I have to relocate my wood pile that I made earlier this year in the snow (about 2 cords)-- that should be an interesting yard event…

I love those kind of workouts. You get in some killer work, and get all that shit done we need to do to live in the climate we do. I’m waaaay behind in my wood pile work.

Had some plans this evening that fell through, so, I went into the gym for the squats I shoulda done this morning.

Don’t typically get into the gym this time of day, but this late in the evening my weight is 207.
Still a long way to go.

Squats
1x10xbar
1x6x135
1x6x225
1x4x275
1x3x305
1x2x325
1x1x345
1x1x315

Frog Stance Squats
1x4x50
2x5x50
I wonder if those will ever get easier, I think not.

Static Lunges
2x8x50s

Abs
2x40x60lb

Hey Deez
if your shoulder is still bugging you, and you dont already do them, you should look into the YTWLI some of us other old cripples use. I do it almost every day, and it has made a world of difference to my shoulder health, and my ability to do pressing exercises.

Thanks John, I found the article here that describes it.
