Dumb-Ass of the Month

I read where Adam Archuleta, in order to build explosive strength, will let go of the bar at the top of his bench press.

I was warming up. I had 135 on the bar, and I had a great idea: try what Adam Archuleta does. So I did.

FYI - make sure you catch the bar - 'cause it hurts like hell when you miss.

Don’t feel too bad. I’m sure we’ve all had our painful and/or embarrassing moments in the gym. I saw a kid doing seated rows one time when the cable strap snapped and he did a complete somersault(sp?) off the bench backwards.

I really, really wish I was kidding - but it’s the truth.

I realize now, that maybe some folks just aren’t supposed to be left alone in a gym.

Maybe you should try that out.
