Yeah im allgoods man, a bit swollen nose and i get an xray tomorrow but otherwise that a bit angry but all is well. I am now thinking of muay thai training but its $18.50 a session. Unless i joined the gym where it is but that gym is 15 minutes drive away. Im sure there are some in rockingham though but love my gym now that iv seen other commercial gyms. Also made a fewmates haha.the jobs i applied for nearly a month a go, said they would respond within a month. If i havent gotten any of the jobs il apply for more. then with that i can afford muay thai classes and the food i need.

Oh wait yeah there is one main one in rockingham (bodyapeel) that has boxing classes and a boxing ring, its a fully equipped gym too. My gym has boxing bags and speedballs so another option is videos on martial arts and practise myself but i dont know how effective that would be.

I’m of the opinion that it would be a lot more beneficial if you had a few classes before going all out trying to hit a bag. I see it the same way as Oly Lifting. Better to go learn some techniques and than apply them rather than watch something on YouTube and hope that you are doing the same movement.

Hitting a bag by itself won’t help overly much when it comes to physical confrontations either IMO. Its the sparring and the pad work and the man vs man aspects that you get in martial arts training that gives you the confidence and ability to take a person.

While I much prefer Muay Thai as it uses the whole body as a weapon and also conditions the body to being attacked, boxing is still a very solid choice. It will also help to have a boxing background if you decide to go to MT later on (a few of the boys at my gym do).

That’s a bit ridiculous. I pay $110 a month for the gym + training. That can be up to 16 sessions.

The hormone fueled angry teenager part of my brain says have a rematch with them and beat the fuck out of them for coward hitting, where im not sitting on the ground and don t get sprint punched to the face lol. The logical part says i will get in trouble so just steer clear of them.

I would listen to the logical side. Beating on some skinny little coward isn’t going to do much for your self esteem, image and is very likely to get you into a heap of trouble at school you can probably do without. Hope you are ok man.

Thanks man im alright. Just very unexpected thats all. You’re right in the fact i dont need any trouble,i can definitely do without that. Also thekid however had done this kinda thing before to my mates ( while he was walking to school he saw my mate and punched him from behind and knocked him out), so he is a major coward. Anyways il definitely listen to the logical side anyway and only engage in conflict if they throw a punch first.

Todays training Wednesday:
40 minutes of boxing with my mate who does boxing.
Heavy bag, pads etc. No sparring for now cos of my nose lol. Going to do this twice a week from now on.

So kind of have a decision to make. Someone from my school is joining my gym next week, they want me to train them. I told them to use the gym trainer but they refuse . Im not qualified to train them nor do i know how to train a person new to the gym let alone a girl. What do i do?.

In all seriousness though, just do what you can to help her and don’t be overbearing.She could either A) genuinely want some help and believe you’re the right person to ask or B) what @FlatsFarmer is implying in which, you go get some.
