We aren’t talking about tasty here or PWO, this is a hard diet filled with nutritional food. Get your facts straight.
legitimate
were participants weighed before or after their colons fell out?

Voted legitmate by two guys from Ohio. Confirmed legimate diet.
Can someone start a log?
People are idiots. They will eat it up
The first line of Christine’s story reads: “As you know, the Drive-Thru Diet® menu is not a weight-loss program.” Okaay…
I didn’t look at the site at all, but I think its a good idea. People wanna diet, and still be able to eat fast food, so its a good compromise…especially since this stuff is probably more nutritionally sound than most salads at fast food places.

Oh, but I am. It means I can eat there once and awhile and not ingest 20 grams of sodium from eating a couple burritos. As for the diet, it looks exactly the same as Subway’s campaign…
- “healthy choices” menu
- say something about how many grams of fat are in it
- person who lost weight by being in a caloric deficit
“. I reduced my daily calorie and fat intake by 500 calories to 1250 calories a day, and, after two years, I ended up losing 54 pounds”
LOL, no shit? what did she think was gonna happen?
“For me, I didnâ??t want to cut out my fast food”
Ok, so this might give people who are dieting a place to go for a quick food, nothing wrong with that.
I think people will just start eating at tacobell more, get a healthy menu item, then add a pop and some fries with it, totally negating any nutritional value.

one of the best ways to market. Tell people something isn’t for them, and they’ll want it more

Obviously something called a diet isn’t a weight-loss program. duh.
I’m not quite sure why this pissed me off so much but something about the commercial really struck a nerve with me. I think it was the part where she says she still wanted to eat fast food on a diet.
This new healthy menu popped up here in Cali months ago, they don’t even taste that good but at least the ones with ~4 grams of fat are decent post workout, and I’m lazy, and I can practically see the Taco Bell from my gym.

That’s easy: it’s to convince all the overweight people that fast food will help them shed the pounds (using ‘Christine’ as visual proof than it can be done)…even though they probably ended up that way in the first place by eating too much fast food. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t be looking to a fast food ad to lose weight in the first place.
The “Drive Thru Diet is not a weight loss plan” clause is there in case the dieters can’t control their cravings, end up going crazy, pig out, and buy triple the amount of tacos they should have - which is good news for Taco Bell (BTW, the word “diet” automatically means “weight loss” to the average person). They may end up fatter, but they’ll at least have demonstrated some degree of willpower because a Big Mac wouldn’t have passed their lips the whole time.
If any cheating is going to be done, it’s going to be done at Taco Bell, dammit.
From what i understand theyre trying to market a different way to eat TacoBell(scarcely), and giving a slightly better option.
Not a terrible plan but this will be very obscure to market (especially with the sentiment towards TB quality) and only a limited few out there will actually understand the real concept. Even less will go through with it.
I think I understand the principle but still am not attracted to TB, i just cant associate the place with anything to do with quality food.
[quote]Corshana wrote:

The “concept” is to increase Taco Bell profits. If people lose weight on the diet, it’s good: they did it by eating at TB. If people fail the diet, it’s even better because they did it by eating more at TB. There’s nothing altruistic about this.
Lets face it. When you go to taco bell you get two chicken quesadillas, a beef grilled stuffed burrito, and two tacos.
This fresco garbage is bullshit.

Noticed you had a typo there and fixed it for you.
