my winter sport is hybernation - I’m really good at it too. seriously, walking to the gym when it’s -30, -40 with windchill is all the outdoorsy fun I need. I love snowshoeing - ever try to do it in 4 feet of powdered snow uphill? okay maybe I should get a snow suit too and find the time next year.

tonight: not much. working late-got to gym at 815. fucking comedy central in there. (guys curling in squat rack, fat bellied girls doing endless work on ab machines, side bends with plates, other such nonsense) so my plan to DL was nixed. decided to do some chest and tris

oh yeah…did some seated leg curls and extensions 2 x 12 @ 85 for both before all this thinking i was going to do DL

got a lil DL action in tonight. still feeling tired. flo headed outta town, super low carbs all week and not enough sleep i’m assuming = tired and not much output in the gym

lil bit of step-up warm up stuff. some hypers, some tri dips.

DL 10 x 115, 10,10,8,8 @ 135
2 x15 ATG squats w/ bar
2 x 15 ATG front squats w/ OHP

superset of: seated leg curls 12 x 85 then 12 x 85 leg extensions, repeat.
those leg ‘press-downs’ 10 each leg @ 85
lying ham curls 3 x 12 @ 60

tailbone is still sore, seated leg press was not an option. yeah, this week has been total weak sauce but i’m hoping for a good next week. um, there is a chance i might go boarding again on tues. :slight_smile: 3 ft of snow has fallen this week and more to come.

yes, the legs are bruised all over the place, so i guess i shouldn’t be so hard on mahself. better to be weak sauce than lazing around all week i 'spose…

You’re a braver lady than I am – I hate machine leg exercises. My joints crack alarmingly.

My joints crack all over too, my sternum even cracks when I stretch first thing in the morning. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, so long as it doesn’t hurt when it cracks.

Although, I normally don’t find anything cracks once I’ve warmed up sufficiently.

Oh man, I just started synching up the deloads with aunt flo. No joke, there is a huge difference in my training output around that time, so i bet the weak sauce is definitely related to that - as well as the lack of sleep, ahem don’t make come over there and whip that sweet ass! Get your rest woman!

yeah, Masch. when i was doing 5/3/1, i had it synched up too. i’m not too distressed over a week weak. doh!
that boarding i did on monday isn’t like a walk in the park. it’s a pretty great workout. and the soreness from boarding for over 6 hours falling down 50x at high rates of speed might have something to do with the fatigue.

i don’t sleep much, never have. i’m a bit spastic at times.

so-i won’t bother posting details of my little fart around workout this evening. only had 45 min so i did a bit of back work. some bi’s and a tiny bit of shoulders.

yes, i realize my back was worked from the DL last night but tonight wasn’t anything serious and i’m certainly not at risk for over-training this week. :0

Heh my joints crackle like a bowl of Rice Crispies. The usual pops and clicks don’t bother me, but the sound my neck makes when I turn my head - like grains of sand or something - or the crackling in my knee, is just a bit disturbing.

rice crispies…sorreh Cal. i have a bad habit of cracking the neck daily. and now the wrist with that cyst thing.

2 feet of snow yesterday. more today and tonight. on top of the 3 feet earlier in the week. sunny skies tomorrow.

heading up tomorrow…oh yeah!!! no workout today. tomorrow will be hours of workout and hopefully less falling. yesterday was great rest with napping involved.

Yes!! IV morphine is the shit! Made waking up from my knee surgery oh, so lovely. There were people around me, talking like I was sleeping, but I could hear EVERY word (lucky for them, they said only nice things, lol), but I didn’t care one bit about any of it, because EVERYTHING. FELT. SO. DREEEEEAAAAMMMMYYY.
