tired…feeling blah…a lil soon for flo to be bringing her pms bullshit but it sure feels like it. at least i ate light today. had to make up for mah indian grub-down yesterday. :)[/quote]
Those days just happen sometimes. You’ll be raring to go again soon, I’m sure.
Funny you bring up ‘flo’; I made a point of synching up my training with my cycle, and as soon as I did, that bitch decided to come a week and a half early. wtf?
haaaaa haaa. thanks nlmain. she’s not here…i was just being a tired baby that day. soon though…tmi…i know.
alright-getting of my ass to head up to Tahoe…wooooooooooooo hooooooooooo! there was about 8 inches of snow up there on thursday. staying the night tonight and boarding tomorrow-sure hope the weather cooperates. mixed reports of possible rain/snow but there are severe weather alerts for some crazy ass wind…like “gusts over 100 mph on the Sierra ridge” wtf? it’s a BIG area up there so i’m hoping it’s not hitting where we are going…
tamale caliente: i fell a hundred times on my first snowboarding trip 2 weekends ago.
it still is sore. i’m actually a bit concerned about being able to try boarding again this weekend. Kimba- should i look for those ass pads? yeah, picture that. big booty with ass pads on it…haaaaaaa
tailbone aching and i didn’t want to kill my legs since i will be boarding sun possibly, monday for sure. thought i’d do some DLs but the rack was full.

Gracias, Talenaah, for your answer. My bad, thought it was already completely healed, and I couldn’t wait to hear some good news about it! At this point, I’m working legs as hard as I can, but still cautious so I don’t hurt it again. BTW, I might have to get those ass pads…not that I snowboard, but really because i would like the ILLUSION of having a nice big juicy ass. Have fun snowboarding again!
oh yeah, i wasn’t wrong about that bitch flo. sunday am. right before heading out to board. didn’t slow me down in the slightest, however.
**Tamale, get to squatting and doing DLs…you will have more than an illusion of a big juicy ass.
**Kimba-a little new snow and i didn’t need ass pads. although i took some harder falls this time. more time on the hills=more falls. BUT…i improved 100% and actually started to learn how to manipulate that board to do what I wanted it to do! this is huge.
so i had one nasty fall, off a big hill (not bunny run) was hauling ass (at least 40 mph+) either hit a bump or leaned too forward (which causes the board to pitch forward, dig into the snow and abruptly stop) i flew forward, my chest slammed to the ground first (better than my head) while my ribs crushed to my tits. knocked the fucking wind out of me and skeered me for a few seconds. once i caught my breath and was semi-assured i didn’t break my ribs, i jumped back up and headed down.
so this time-i am notably sore (neck and traps…whiplash?? naaah!) some more bruising but waay less falling on the tail bone. and my abs are sore…yeah! back to training tomorrow…i think. i’m going to post a couple pics.
haaa haa…thanks you two. rachelle (or anyone else, for that matter) do you board? i’m sooo hooked on it!
that’s at the bottom of the run…not all that cool but it’s hard for someone to get a pic when you are at the top doing some fast action stuff. i really wish i could have seen video of that face forward fall…damn that was scary.
i can hear it now “um, yes, video of severe crashes please”
I’ve boarded once. It was fun, at first. But by the end of the day, the falling and increasingly sore ass got to me. On my last run of the day, I got halfway down, fell about 10 times to get there, and finally said “Fuck it”. I took the board off and walked the rest of the way down the hill.
That was in high school. I should really try it again though, I hate being a quitter!

you should definitely give it a try again. i completely feel ya on the falling down and then giving up. i almost did that on my first day. but i know a LOT of less athletic and out of shape people that board. i would not accept that i couldn’t learn this.
it’s a great workout. this time even my abs are sore.
and ftr, i kinda thought winter sports were mandatory for Canadians…
thanks nlmain. um, i was going to hit the gym but i have a long list of reasons not to tonight.
and a trusted source advised for some stretching and such. it was late, i’m hungry, still sore, flo here, need to do some crap for work tomorrow…yada yada. well, i’m no longer hungry. i had my turkey taco salad.
i make my taco/burrito meat by simmering a lot of onion, fresh tomatoes, garlic, jalapeno and shit load of various mexican spices. new mexico chili powder, cumin, mex oregano, citrus peel, other chili powder, Lawry’s season salt. a couple small cans of 2 different salsas (a tom/onion/jalapeno and a spicy ranchero sauce) + another can of diced tomatoes. simmer for long enough to develop the flavors then add the browned turkey meat. add black beans and fresh cilantro at the end.
tomorrow i will do something productive in the gym.
ooohhh, x-country skiing. i want to do that too. the day i said i was ready to give up, i said “yeah, this boarding isn’t for me. i think i’ll cross-country skii…it’s waaay better exercise anyway!”
but i got over that real quick. i couldn’t bear to return to work where a bunch of no working out people board & ski successfully.
you might be able to find some killer deals on winter gear now. last year i scored those white pants in the pic for ridiculous cheap. everything is 50-60% off now, if there is anything left. go get a pair then you will make yourself put them to use next year!
