Drinker with a Gym Problem

crazy indeed. but such a sweet ass!!

Yep, CBear, you’re right about that. It’s damn sweet.

now now Rach and miss bear…you guys are layin’ it on a little thick here. but dayum, i’ll take it!!!

Cal- i have been told glutamine is one of the better supps to take. i should be prolly get some. yeah, fat burners and ap suppressants(<<<these more so) have never seemed to do much for me. i did like HOT-ROX. but they were back ordered so i got something else. i seriously have a ravenous appetite and i think they help a smidge. that’s why i asked MIM what the heck she was taking since they seemed to be so powerful for her.

Skye-you do sprints and bleacher runs and such. take the damn tribute woman!

so yes, first real cardio since i don’t know when. i pretty much stopped that in Oct. definitely nothing since Jan at the start of 5/3/1. i tried HIIT i think on 2 occasions…stopped at about 5 min. but it did feel good to get right back on the wagon today.

also ate very light today. PWO shake. salad w/salami. handful of blueberries. another salad w/ grilled chicken. handful of nuts w/ a couple cranberries. more salami. about 1300 cals. but i’m getting ready to cook up some chicken patties and i could very well eat one.

salami?

i didnt think tubemeat was your style.

take what you can get, eh? seems like it.

Lol’d big on that one.

Good work T! I find that my w/os post cheat are awesome! Also due to the supped of glycogen stores. Not sure if there’s science behind that or if its some kind of placebo - but I lurv it.

Take care of that tailbone!

T bitching about work again: working long f’n hours again. fine. then there is a really bad situation at work that i can’t discuss that is stressin me and my co-workers out to the max. fine.

but THEN…i come home after 12.5 hours of work to see the removal of a beautiful tree that was in my rear neighbor’s yard that provided shade and a block to the view of their stupid house. CUT.DOWN. i am so disgusted i don’t even want to look out my back patio. i guess i should not bitch. i have a roof over my head, right?

training tonight-arrived at gym after 8. was debating about doing metabolic circuit or doing weights tomorrow. so pissed off that i knew throwing some weights around would help.

flat DB press: 12 x 25s
3 x 10 35s

incline flies: 3 x 10 25s

hanging clean and press: 8, 6<<failed on 7) 8, 7 with 60 BB

bent over DB rows, 50’s 9,8,8 for each arm

2 super sets of skull-crushers with super close grip chest press, pre-set BB 30 lbs x15 of each
(threw in tri dips, feet elevated immediately after, to failure, only took 6)

tricep stuff: one big set, <1 min rest between:

bar with handles on end to flex out at bottom of press: 10, 10 @ 60
straight bar UH press downs 10, then 10 OH @ 40 repeat
ropes: 3 x 10 @ 30

**EDIT not all that note-worthy but…bench: 3 x 10 w bar for the hell of it.

eating small salad with grilled chicken for dinner. gonna go put food in fit day. got to be ridiculously low since i did not eat until now since after my bit of scrambled eggs w/ cheese around 430. brekkie was usual scrambled eggs+spinach. had salad n chicken patty for lunch so, yeah…low cals today. better bump up tomorrow…

yeah…calories not ridiculously low by some standard’s. prolly right around 1500, which is borderline starvation for me…

and yes i’m aware this IS ridic low for some others not on the fat loss train…

Mentirosos
Anyone who claims they are not about fat loss…especially this time of the year…

Do you, T.

DB rows with 50s is good stuff!

Good job getting back on the fat loss train.

btw, when I was learning snowboarding I used my ass pads from my figure skating days under the ski pants. A bruised tailbone is predictable and no fun at all.

i have not mentioned that i’m only a hispanic mutt who was not raised to speak spanish.(grandparent’s didn’t teach my mom) this is the second time i’ve had to google god damned spanish words that were posted in my journal…haaaaa haaaa!

i’m not sure if you were asking me something miss skye. i’m definitely not lying about being on the fat loss train. it’s just hard, hard, hard for me to stay on that train. (i loooooove food sooooooo much)

thanks kimba! i’m digging the idea of ass pads. my tailbone is pretty much healed. it started snowing in the mountains last night and we are headed up sunday to stay the night and board on monday. i am freaking super duper excited. might be the only chance this season to go.

so-another 13 hour workday so i’m skipping any cardio bullshit i thought i might do tonight. i definitely upped my cals today cause i had INDIAN food for lunch…MMMMMMMMMMMMM. butter chicken…oh nom nom nom. cauliflower and broccoli, some garbanzo beans and had half a peice of naan bread…even more nom nom. had a tiny bit of left over eggs/spinach/cheese for dinner that should have been afternoon snack but i was stuffed.

tomorrow i must leave work in time to hit the gym to do legs again. man i gots some great DOMS going on today from last night’s workout. i love that soreness…means i did something good!

No, no, T. You misunderstood. I wasn’t calling you a liar. I was saying anyone who claimed they aren’t in the least bit worried about fat loss, especially this time of the year is probably lying because I’m sure we all want to look good for summer. And shame on them for coming down on you for your caloric intake. Different things work for different people.

50s on the DB rows is awesome!

ps. I’ll gladly help teach you how to roll those Rrrrrrsss (and yes, that is a sexual reference)

Hi talenaah, I feel like I’m butting into this conversation, but I saw a couple of references to your tailbone injury, and I just had to ask, how long did it take to heal? I injured my tailbone last November. I couldn’t go to the gym or play any sports for 2 months!!

It still bothers me here and there, like when I’m sitting for a long period of time, or just sitting a certain way. And now that I’m back in the gym, I’m extra careful when I squat, because I can feel how vulnerable it is. Any advice or info you can share would be appreciated… thanks

I see what you did there.

Haha that wasn’t even intentional, but now that you point it out… no pun intended :stuck_out_tongue: Good eye, CBear.

^^^^that confused me…no worries Skye- i didn’t think you were calling me a menitrisoliar…haaa

nobody has got on me about low cals. shit…i hardly hoover in the low range. it’s funny, that i was thinking the 1500 or so i ate, i felt like i had eaten NOTHING…like it would be like 1100 or something silly before i actually tracked it.

i really do just love good food so much. i always have. i ate almost full meals before dinner when i was a teen, begged my mom to let me eat. told her i was staaarving and i would most certainly eat my dinner too. and i really felt that way. i ate almost as big as servings as my dad…that’s just nuts.

i could so be an average person piggy if i hadn’t gotten a bit of control and started working out years ago. which brings me to a bit of history…

guess it was about 8+ years ago. not long after the beginning of me and the misses’ relationship. i started cooking ridiculous butter/cheese/cream PASTA dishes, eating them after 10 pm when we were off work…drinking a lot…packed on about 20 lbs. i still wasn’t FAT by GP standards…
but one day i looked down at my knees and saw the fatty bit of bulge and it made me sick. did atkins and dropped it pretty easily. wanted to get back to the old training T(from 19-21 i hit it hard, which means i was on a 7+ year hiatus) so joined the gym and i haven’t quit since.

disclaimer: that was not meant to be inspirational or touching…just got a bit of diarrhea of the mouf i guess…

oh Maschy i’d roll more than RRRRRRRRs for you hawt mama. i actually can say spanish words properly, i’m just not fluent.

another history interlude: i took languages for fun in college to break up all those science classes. latin, spanish and italian. (also did latin and french in HS) i actually was conversational in italian and that came in handy when i got to go over there. but like anything, you lose it if you don’t use it…:frowning:

damn i just keep going here.

tamale caliente: i fell a hundred times on my first snowboarding trip 2 weekends ago.

it still is sore. i’m actually a bit concerned about being able to try boarding again this weekend. Kimba- should i look for those ass pads? yeah, picture that. big booty with ass pads on it…haaaaaaa

tailbone aching and i didn’t want to kill my legs since i will be boarding sun possibly, monday for sure. thought i’d do some DLs but the rack was full.

so nothing exciting to report…
lil bit of usual step-up warm ups and unilateral stuff
sissy weight straight-legged DL, heels elevated 70 BB 3 x12
did 5 front squats at that weight…no bueno
one lame set of 10 squats w/ 50 BB
couple sets of hypers
couple stair climbs w/ 25 plates

attempted HIIT…blegh. after 2 rounds went to mid-intensity ss on the stair-master for a total of 11 min.
attempted 30 min of ss cardio on cross-trainer…blegh…did 12 min

tired…feeling blah…a lil soon for flo to be bringing her pms bullshit but it sure feels like it. at least i ate light today. had to make up for mah indian grub-down yesterday.

Sounds like me when I was a kid. I was always eating! And I’ve never been picky.

When we’d order Pizza Hut, I would regularly have 6-8 slices (as a ten year old)!

Luckily my parents kept me very active, so I only got a little chubby.
