i think we will hit Chang’s for lunch/dinner. just ate a lighter version of my normal brekkie.(more whites than yolk, dang it out of spinach) going to watch the fats and store up on some whole grain deliciousness of carbs today.

brown rice…must.have.brown.rice…today!

i’m actually not carb-craving at all. i must be in the zone. this a good thing.

i liked the workout! that’s the kind of shit i do for cardio too. 6000% funner than steady state.

Like the stair idea. I really want to work in farmer’s walks into my lifting. So far, I’ve just run out of damn time. grrr.

yesterday looked at nutrition content of PF Chang’s menu before i left…good thing. instead of mongolian beef, i had the salt and pepper prawns, brown rice, a smidge of the lo mein, and sichuan asparagus, 2 glasses of vino. today the scale only jumped up 3 lbs instead of the usual 6. yeah for not pigging/drinking on the carb-up.


today-have to study/prep for a class i’m facilitating at work tomorrow-this left me little time for gym, which was packed. thought i’d just do the metabolic thing i did the sat night, but it cleared out a bit so threw in some leg stuff.

25 min of following: step ups with 15 DBs, SLDL, bulgarian split. farmer’s walk with 25 # plates across gym down 2 flights of stairs and immediately back up stairs. (won’t press my luck running through first floor w/ crowds and gym owners there-save that for night time!) and threw in bicep hammer curls at the top of step up for some of them for fun.

repeated all that 3 times, +up down stairs a few more.

squats: 65 lbs 3 x 20
front squat +OHP bar 2 x10

lying hamstring curls 60lbs 4 x15 / 75lbs x10

leg “press-downs” 80 x10 each leg/ 65 x12 each leg *we have 2 assisted dip/pull machines. this one is significantly heavier on the plates, and the weight increments are labeled different. other one 85 is easier than 80. nothing shocking, just funny to see identical equipment vary.

did 2 more runs down the stairs…yee haw for ass burning and barely able to walk back up them. done. now to studying and learning my presentation…:frowning:

for the record, i’m not leaner than i was in OCT & i’m about 5-6 lbs heavier. that’s when i started lifting heavy and all that bday, halloween, sick, travel, crazy work then holiday shenanigans kicked in. good news is that i know i put on some muscle with that lifting. i have a pretty good muscle base naturally & from the 7 yrs of training and i really want to know what i will look like after this 10 or so lbs of fatty fat is gone.


yesterday no training-was up the night before til 2 studying for my class to ‘teach’ at work then woke up every hour paranoid i’d be late. even the afternoon nap didn’t help. using my brain so much was hard w/out any carbs. ended up eating a power bar when i got to bed cause my head was spinning.

tonight should be some MP. freaking raining buckets here.

oh yes, meant to ask. is anyone getting weird “security certificate has been removed from Tnation” kinda message when you log out? i need to buy something here and that makes me nervous.
