too well because of the angle, bar looks to high (I could be wrong)…oohhh I read that again. You did not feel it…but someone else thought you were leaning foward— I kinda see it too, but I could be wrong.
-I would love to see you drop that ass even lower. A box helps with that. Ever use one? [/quote]

hey thanx for stopping in Janiee…appreciate that coming from a powerhouse like yourself. so i’m a newb in the rack…still learning the basics, so i welcome any advice. i don’t see my shoulders going past my knees, so does that indicate the lean isn’t too bad?

this may sound soooo lame, but that pink wide band on the pants, does that make my low back look like longer, and hence a bigger forward lean? i need to go watch a lot of videos on squatting. i love the rack. and yes, goal is to drop that ass on these heavier weights. was pretty good when i did 60lbs BB squats mixed with interval jump roping…we don’t have a box, but i’m sure i can improvise something. and get proper shoes…

if u watch ur feet in the second video u’ll see ur weight keeps shifting to ur toes and ur heels are raising up off the ground.

body trybe sounds cool. i think wild iron’s in sac too. those are some insane lifters. =+)

damn i’m jealous of ur massage. bitch.

aaahhh…here we go. some insight, thanx deja! drive the heels, i know that part. i really did have stage fright. unlike that mad bear around here, i don’t particularly want to be in front of a camera.

so i’m lookin into the strength stuff…i will bore the hell out of you guys if i just keep posting about that UB program. (if i’m not already…)

yeah, massage…i’ve neglected for too long. i prolly should go back next week. VERY sore in some spots today, but the hips are looser. she went to town on me.

mmmmm, sushi, sake bomb + 2 glasses of vino…i’m very limited in my sushi experience…oh, wait…that’s just wrong, let me rephrase…

i tried some new rolls today…DEE-freakin-lish. another happy hour deal…

omg someone called Jane a powerhouse. I feel old. Where is hardway?

Bobbi you are a powerhouse yourself. old? where did that come from? i haven’t met hardway…i thinks only a few of us here are 'old’er…than you youngsters, that is…

Haha I just remember when Jane came on our forums “elsewhere” and answering her questions and she lifted less than all of us when she was a lifting baby. Now she’s all grown up and it makes me feel old!haha

After I came over here and checked it out I asked her and hardway to move over. Jane came but we haven’t gotten hardway to make the switch yet.

ahhh, i see Bobbi…i did recall the name from you &/or janiee’s journal, but i had yet to see any activity.

nothing too exciting to report- how the hell do you do floor presses if you don’t have 45’s on the bar and aren’t skinny enough to slink under that thing? i thought i could pull 65 over my head to do them, but no go. i didn’t try too hard, cause i have yet to get my steel armor of courage against puzzled looks from the gym rats…so, in place of floor press for the 2nd super set, i did flat DB press

oh-also, after reading spider and kimba’s chat about deads, i decided to try rack deads, pausing to set the bar down. recall, i used to use the 90, & the 110 BB for deads, mostly what i think are RDLs or stiff-legged. i need to investigate this topic.

my grip sucks, i have a cyst type thing on my left wrist, doesn’t always hurt but it has really affected push-ups and certain other moves. i worry about attempting a strength program like 5-3-1 cause my wrist is so weak. it flares up with no rhyme or reason. also i don’t even know what some of those exercises you guys are doing by the names mentioned. enough bs’n…

rack deads: warm up with 10 x 95 then 7,6,5 @ 135. my wrist giving out, so i tried bad wrist with under grip, right hand over (what is that called?)…oh what a difference. finished with 9 @ 135

superset (no rest between, this where it was supposed to be floor press)
flat DB 3 sets 5 X40’s (very hard tonight) 4th set dropped to 6 X 35’s
OH BB row 4 sets 10 x60

superset
low cable rows 15, 12, 12, 10 @ 90lbs
shallow incline/fly press 12, 12, 12, 9 @ 30’s

did some hypers (dang Molly mentioned 50 BW…holy crap i do a few sets of 15)

2 lame ass sets of hanging leg raises. i’ve been neglecting the specified 2 days of ab crap. tomorrow has clean and press…one of my favs! and girls, there was some eye candy there tonight that had me takin a second look. fine as hell. black hair cut short, almost military type fade, piercing green eyes and built to…uh, lift. yeah, heavy stuff.

hahaha did you get a number?

i could get it for our bear friend…haaa-kidding claire. you know i’m not playing on that team, but that’s how good looking he was…had me staring, secretly of course.

so how about those floor presses? you do them?

psshhh I thought you were talking about a chick.

and yea do them in a rack off pins or out of the rack off low j-hooks or do ghetto fpress off aerobic steps like I did, 2 risers, step and 25s are just right for me.

fuck, bobbi. you made me laugh out loud for the 2nd time tonight. i’m jus sayin, he was nice to look at, i wasn’t trying to see his naughty bits. …ok. i just read my post, and yes, that was ambiguous…i thought the military hair cut might have clarified but that could go both ways as well. i’m as close to ‘married’ as it gets…registered DP, gots 9+ years with the misses…

thnx for the floor press info, the ghetto version…thas funny too. no ‘simple’ racks with pins. the squat rack has that damn permanent bar about 6 inches off the ground. ghetto version sounds perfectly doable.

That’s a mixed grip. I use it and really like it.

9 years. damn!!! that’s really somethin.

sucks about the wrist. does wrapping it help?

put some weight on those rack pulls. are you pulling them from above, at, below ur kneecap?? keep slapping weight on … u’ll be surprised how much you can pull from around the knee.

mixed grip ftw.

Congrats on staying together so long!

In my experience, above the knee you can pull a LOT more than you deadlift; low rack pulls might be easier or the same as deadlifts, depending on where your weak spot is. And mixed grip is a lifesaver.

Also, since it’s getting way too lesbian in here, PENIS!

There, that’s better.

the reg dp comment reminded me of this pic. it always makes me laugh. haha

:talktothehand: alisa. no such thing!

mebbe u just need his address so you can send back all the stuff he’ll buy you.

haha my gf and I would sneak out at like 2am and steal mccain signs.

lots of comments here…alisa…thanx for the grip info. is mixed grip ‘frowned’ upon or considered cheating. doing that one set, it seemed my shoulders might do stuff independently, not sure. will have to experimet. thanx for the props on the longevity, u too deja!

nice car full of stolen goods… i don’t even want to get married but what a bunch of dumb fucks there are out there. arrrrggggh!

just started rack pulls, think i’ve only done them 2x now. so i’m learning. that bar is actually just below my knees, i believe. so it’s not 6 inches. i had no problem using the ‘fixed’ BB at 110 for RDLs and stiff legged, but mah ass and legs are kinda strong, imo, so that makes sense. i’m struggling with my grip for sure using the oly bar and plates, very interesting.

as far as wrist, i should try wrapping. i don’t know officially if it’s a cyst, it’s a hard lump that sometimes pops up even higher and hurts like a muther. and i can barely do push-ups now.

*side rant
i think yams/sweet potatoes and starchy squash might be magical. i’ve mentioned how i was a carb phobe for years and when i started eating them pre/post wrkout with maple syrup (sometimes + ProPowdr) that i lost some fat. well after my trip and nonsense, i figured i go as lo carb as i could just to get back in line. well, one week and no progrss on the mutha-fuckin scale (NO, i don’t live by it!) so i figured don’t get frustrated, i’m not cutting, just go with it. week 2 (this week) eat some damn starchy carbs again cause it was workin before. even after sushi night wed + little booze, but good eats all week, today i’m down 2 lbs. i know you can poop and pee and lose 2 lbs, but i check the scale (for fun) all the time, so i know what’s fluctuation and what might be fat loss. i also threw out the question: was it possible that perhaps i gained a lb of muscle with a little time off (recovery) since i started doing heavier lifts?

which leads me to the question/thoughts…how can we possibly measure muscle gain (aside from water tank testing or whatever) fibers tear and rebuild and it must be somewhat of a slow process? i dunno…just throwing some pondering thoughts out of my head.
