Dr. John Beradi's New Book

Just ordered the new book for skinney bastards by Dr. John Berardi. It is called “Scrawny to brawny” It is published by Men’s Health magazine I guess since I got a letter from them announcing the new book.Amazon also has it from April 2…It has got to be a great book…I am totally stoked…I pre-ordered already…

Surprised I haven’t got an e-mail yet from berardi.com about this. Berardi working with Men’s Health? That’s kinda strange.

You know what’s cool?

JB always seems to give Kudo’s to “Testosterone” for “taking a risk and giving him his start…” (paraphrasing statements he has made in the past…)

You’ll be hearing more about JB as the year’s go by…

Mufasa

I read an article in mens fitness I think and it mentinoed Chad Waterbury… My girlfriend didn’t know why I was so excitied, but I was for some reason.

If only waterbury’s work was referenced in all the mainstream muscle/fitness publications, we would see less frat curlers in my gym.
On second thought, no, that means more competition for me, ignore my comment

Dr. Berardi writes quite a bit for mens health. Despite all the slamming of some magazines you see here, they often cover the topics. It is just usually covered here first.

And, it’s usually “dumbed down” in those magazines for the masses to understand.

Hello All,

The book isn’t officially out yet - April 2nd is the launch date. So anyone ordering is doing a pre-order.

As far as the book, it’s awesome. Mike Mejia and I teamed up to cover everything from injury prevention, training, nutrition, supplementation, and more for ectomorphs/hardgainers. Other body types will benefit from this info as well. But it’s targeted toward the hypertrophy challenged.

In the book there’s tons of new stuff not from my previous articles. So don’t worry that you’ll be getting just rehashed info. This book is the real deal.

Now as far as the surprise of it, I’ve keep pretty close wraps on it so that we could have a big exciting launch this week. But it’s been something Mike and I have been working on for a year and a half now.

We’ll be having a web “comming out” party for the book really soon.

Since you are all talking about it already, check out our www.scrawnytobrawny.com site for more information. We just finished it tonite - so get your sneak preview now.

Also, sign up and you’ll get excerpts, articles, and all sorts of cool stuff.

And BTW, technically it’s not Men’s Health publishing the book. It’s Rodale Press - the same company that publishes Men’s Health magazine but publishes tons of other mags and books as well.

I got this book two days ago. And let me tell you it is amazing. The training side, the nutrition side, just about everything in this book is top notice. But i expected nothing else from Dr JB.

If you buy no other training and diet book this year, make sure you buy this one.

Wayne.

Ps… Dr JB, one thing. I don’t remember seeing this in the book so please don’t hate me but … the guy on the front is that really a before and after shot? And if so how long did it take?

Got the book last night. Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the website too.

I checked it out at Borders today and it looked fantastic. So much so,when I got home I ordered it online. Good Job guys.

Why didn’t you just buy it at Borders?

Probably because it’s cheaper online, like everything else. The same reason I don’t by Biotest products and Vitamin Shoppe.

Six bucks cheaper at Amazon. Plus I was buying enough books that shipping was free.

Ah, that’s cool. But it seems to me that’s part of the price you pay for having the convenience of strolling in and paging through the book. It just seems kinda dickish to me to use Borders as a browsing library than go order it from someone else. I mean, it’s only six bucks.

Just my take…

Borders/B&N/Amazon.com are all affiliated and practically share profits.

I used a Borders gift card at Amazon. Nobody’s getting screwed. Thank you for your concern.
