How’s this going?

I started with a new patient yesterday whose long term live-in boyfriend has custody or guardianship (not sure) of two boys not biologically his, and mom has just popped up and taken him back to court after years of not giving a shit about her kids. A nightmare.

Oh! She found I had standing on Tuesday or Wednesday, so things move forward. We are going to ask for emergency orders to get the boys back before our hearing in September, but I don’t really have a feel as to whether she’ll grant that or not.

Took some time off. Playing basketball with a 24-year-old every day whooped my butt. Started keto yesterday. Plan to have 1 cheat meal a week, assuming the weight has moved sufficiently by Saturday night. I’ve been eating out a lot. Way too much. So this is cheaper, and it’s something I’ve done well on in the past. The short-term goal is to get down to 215 at the end of September.
