Worked from home yesterday and ate breakfast (3 eggs and 2 pieces of sausage) for the first time in a while and gained 0.8lbs. Lunch and dinner where my usual meals. I am unhappy.

Thanks for the encouragement, everyone.
The ozempic is definitely helping. I’m sure it isn’t just the keto at this point. Yesterday was cheat day. I ordered an appetizer of queso fundido with delicious flour tortillas and couldn’t even finish it. Made me sad, but then I remembered I could eat it today with Keto tortillas. I only gained 1lbs yesterday, which is by far the least I’ve gained on a cheat day so far, and I have veins in my forearms coming back. That makes me happy.

I have been eating two meals a day at about 11:00AM and 5:00PM. I am starting to get hungry in the morning before lunch, so I’m adding in a protein shake before work. I figured out my calories yesterday and it has only been coming to about 1250/day. Today was the first day I’ve felt a little weaker in the gym since I started Keto.

Edit: I just realized I’m probably getting hungry earlier because I’m out of Vyvanse

I have been thinking about coming off of the Keto for a week so I can gauge how much of my suppressed appetite is due to the Keto vs. the Ozempic. I have to travel for 3 days next week, so I feel like next week would be a good week to do it. I know I’ll gain some water weight for sure, but I’m not worried about the scale so much as I am seeing what my appetite is like eating a ā€œnormalā€ diet.

Came off the keto yesterday, so I know I’ve gained some water weight at least. Went to a Chinese buffet for lunch and couldn’t finish one plate. Went to Taco Cabana for dinner and ordered about half of what I normally would and was quite content with it. That leads me to believe the Ozempic is definitely having at least as much effect as the keto was controlling appetite.

Had expected to gain about 5lbs of water coming off of the keto, but so far I’m only up 2.2lbs. Probably back on keto Sunday, but I’m still kind of debating that.

I’d be curious to hear what you’re weighing your thoughts between on this.

Well, this week I don’t really feel like I got an understanding of how the weight loss will go on the ozempic if I’m NOT on keto, since this week I gained the rebound water weight. I’m thinking about going one more week off keto, just to see what my weight does. Then definitely getting back on the keto. I’m just curious.

Ah, I’m understanding now. Getting an understanding of baseline. Makes sense.

My only advice on this is any calorie restricted diet will have water/sodium fluctuations that can get very frustrating. Even if you eat the same things everyday. I have seen this in myself and other patients. I know you need to do things a certain way but just want to make sure you understand that as well.
