Tribunal?

I got off whey a few years ago as well and felt better. Just goes to show that real food is the best and safest anabolic there is.

Soy licks roadkill.

Interesting thread.

So what type of diets are you guys on that you got rid of whey and feel better? High carb or high fat diets?

Keeping the grains low with the exception of oatmeal in the morning for me. It is still a struggle to get enough protein but I feel better and I am leaner. Not afraid of fats. Really don’t know my macro percentages, just trying things out.

When you do, unless you really like to cook and measure your calories properly , it is much easier to make up that difference by drinking whey, not to mention more cost effective when things like time, efficiency of nutrition and costs of high quality protein are taken into consideration.

Chicken breast, fish, lean beef, milk, eggs are not that expensive but to eat the right amounts and controlling the fats and calories yet getting the same high quality protein found in shakes is difficult.

I often feel like shit after drinking whey shakes. I do not carb crash as many describe so I am not exactly sure what that means but I think of it as a whey crash. It doesn’t last too long but it is enough to bother me. Slight headache, fatigue.

I used to think it was from training but it isn’t.

I am fine with dairy, I enjoy milk, cottage cheese, yogurt so I don’t think it is a milk allergy.

Whey is very convenient but I feel better and have a better physique without it. It sure is a pain peeling all those eggs and cooking and eating all that meat though.

have u tried masking ur whey into other things? coz it could just be an issue u have knowing the whey is there.

I used to date a girl who just hated the taste of whey and would be able to usually taste it.

After a while of blending the whey into daily foods like oatmeal, heavy fruit infused smoothees, etc.

now she takes whey almost as much as i do from the last time i heard from her.

Just a suggestion though. Obviously. (hehe I love whey too much)

It isn’t a taste problem. I have mixed it with yogurt, fruit etc and the more food I put in it the less negative impact it has for me but I would rather eat the fruit and yogurt and a piece of meat. It just isn’t worth it anymore.

can’t blame a guy for trying i guess lol

Thank you both for your input  I appreciate it.

I didn’t have any whey protein for a few days this summer due to lack of money and I almost went fucking insane!
