You are correct, sir!!

My cousin went to WVU. I went to a few games down there while she was there and I was still in HS. It was a fucking blast.

Lol @ 235 with abs. Good stuff. [/quote]
I honestly have you, Way, Dirty Gerdy, and Josh86 to thank for turning me onto the MDD. I’ve been crushing raw milk, free range eggs, VCO, grass fed beef, and ezekiel bread with pasture butter like it’s my job. Weight is climbing with no really noticeable fat gain. Can’t complain with that. I will take some pics in a few weeks to compare at the higher bw and we’ll see how it’s working out.
I’ve also been using a LeanGains-style template, though my feeding window is a little longer than he recommends since I normally don’t get home from the gym or get to eat dinner til at least 8. And I do have some BCAAs first thing in the morning, more for peace of mind than anything else.
9/9/11 - Back
Tried Jack3d for the first time today. Holy shit, what a rush. I needed it too, since I was running on 2 hours of sleep all day. Still had a productive training session, so I’d say the stuff works in terms of energy boost. You can really feel the dimethylamylamine kick in too. Intense focus.
Meadows Rows 125x3x10
DB Dead Stop Rows 120x3x8 - I decided I had been babying myself on both of these so I put a few more lbs on them.
Stretchers 100x12,12,10
Pulldown to Forehead 190x10,10,8
WG Magnum Row 230x3x10
Face Pull/DB Shrug SS 70x2x15/145x2x15
REALLY tough to progress the last few exercises in this workout since I’m already so fatigued by that point. I’ve kept the weight the same because I end up cheating the last few reps of the last set. So I just added a set here and there.
Nice session.
On the Stretchers, I think you’re better off if you row higher up on your chest (almost right under your chin/upper chest area), and think of driving the chest up and towards the handle. i get a more intense squeeze this way. You’re bringing it too low IMO.
god you look thick as hell (AND LEAN U ASSHOLE) doing those shrugs at the end. die.
x 2 on what Bug said. How do you stay so lean? What’s your secret?!

LOL I normally don’t stay lean. I got to my leanest ever this summer, around the end of July (when the pics on the first page were taken), and have managed to sorta maintain it for 2 months so far. In the past, I would diet down every summer and then literally blow up like a balloon every winter. I would go from 225 or so to like 250. I’m tired of riding the fucking rollercoaster of fat-in shape-fat-in shape every year. I’m tired of needing two different wardrobes. I’m tired of feeling like shit half the year.
So basically the goal is to keep it at a reasonable level as I try to put on muscle for the next 6-8 months. If my pants start to get snug, or if I start snoring my ass off every night (I tend to do that when I get too fat) then I’ll make changes to fix it.
So far I’ve only gained back 15 lbs, and I’m attributing part of that weight gain to starting to take creatine again, and another part to increased water retention from eating more carbs now. I don’t think much of it has been fat gain, SO FAR. I can still see all my abs without flexing, despite not having a tan. That seems to be a pretty good barometer.
What SEEMS TO BE working right now is Mountain Dog Diet food choices with Leangains IF. That and doing something physical every day. We’ll see if I can keep it this lean all winter though. I’m also planning on joining another gym that’s 2 min from work so I can walk on the treadmill or do a light bodyweight circuit during my lunch break when the weather gets shitty.

LOL, thanks, I think.
Also thanks for the advice. But personally, I feel the stretchers more in my lats when pulling it lower. When I pull to my chin/upper chest (I did this the first few times I tried it) I feel it more in my upper back. It feels more natural for me to depress the scaps when pulling it lower.
All good shit though dude.
9/10/2011 - Arms
1A) Hammer Curl - 55x3x10 (cheated last few reps on last set)
1B) Rope Pressdown - 62.5x3x12
2A) DB Concentration Curl - 35x3x10
2B) CGBP - 185x12, 205x9, 225x8 - My arms were so pumped by this point that I couldn’t even touch my chest with the bar LOL.
3A) BB Curl w/3sec negative - 85x3x10 - last two sets were shitty. arms had nothing left.
3B) Kickbacks - 30x3x12 - I screwed around with these a little trying to find what I liked best. I tried supinating, pronating, and neutral. I think I liked the pronating version the best (palms end up facing the ceiling).
Good session. I like the CGBP a lot more than the dips. I can focus on my tris a lot better with it for some reason. I also like Concentration Curls over preachers. I’ve never been able to get much out of preachers, either in terms of progression or pump. It’s always been kind of a crap movement for me, whether it’s with a bar or DBs.
Wanted to give a brief video tour of my home gym today but the camera batteries needed charged. I’ll get it next week, and try to give one of the powerlifting gym I go to tonight, after deadlifts. Mondays are usually a pretty good night so there should be a lot of guys there.
Solid looking arm session.
9/12/2011 - Deadlift
405x1
475x1
525x1
575x1
600x1 - 15lb lifetime PR
This one meant a lot.
Jeez man, good lifting! I bet you did quite the victory dance!
Do you have a short term deadlift goal? I’m trying to get to 405 x 5 by end of the year (just hit 415 x 1 PR last week). What are you trying for?
PS I can definitely surpass MY goal, what about you?!

600 has been my goal for about 5 years now. A lot of things have come between me and it in that time. It is the most meaningful lift I have ever hit in my life, and it might stay that way til I die. I could hit 700 next week and it wouldn’t mean as much.
That might not make any sense, but when you’ve been this close to something so many times, only to have it taken away, then get close again, then have it taken away again, etc, etc, it tastes really fucking sweet when you finally get to sink your teeth into that bitch and chew.
I’m going to savor it until I’m hungry again. Knowing me that won’t be too long.
Congratulations man. Enjoy the victory… but then onwards, and upwards!

Thanks. Definitely not stopping here, but it’s nice to look at how far you’ve come sometimes, even if it’s only for a few days.
That 600 pull was perfect man, nice fucking job. Onward and upward dude.
I’ll be following along in here, for sure.
Quit hogging all the awesome.
You train in the same gym as Ryan Celli?! Sick!!! Great training log as well. I’ve been following for a while.

It’s his gym, Celli’s Fitness in Pittsburgh. Ryan is a great guy and amazing lifter.

Thanks man. In 3 weeks I’m going to see how I feel and maybe go 610-615 if it’s there. We’ll see. The more experienced guys that were there that night said I probably have another 20-25lbs in me in the very near future.
